Set in Orange County, California, The Forge Recovery Center treats substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health conditions in an outpatient setting. Their trauma-informed staff see treatment through a holistic lens and provide a range of evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Clients can participate in their partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), or telehealth program. The Forge provides a special LGBTQ+ process group for individuals to share their stories and connect with one another. Experiential Activities The Forge Recovery Center believes in the power of experiences to help individuals develop positive coping skills, healthy relationships, and experience joy. Based on this belief, The Forge includes experiential activities into the weekly schedule. They organize activities like hiking, kayaking, trips to theme parks, yoga, and team sports with the help of their experienced personnel. These opportunities will allow clients to practice the skills they are gaining in therapy.
