I went to this clinic for about 4 months. I’m on 50mg. I did not get the help I needed to set up transportation first of all. I’ve been on methadone since 2018 and they tried keeping me on it when I wanted to ween. But the worst part is they only drug tested ONE (1) time in 4 months. I was not able to get privileges by them drug testing once every 4 months when you need 3 clean drug tests to get privileges. This clinic also has a nurse that has a horrible attitude. She keeps her knees up on the desk, keeps her hoodie on & acts like she hates her job. She has tattoos, gagged ears, skinny & always a grumpy look….youll know right when you see her. Her energy & vibe are very negative. This place is NOT the place to get clean!!!!! I had a horrible experience💯

Anonymously take someone there and it's a great place

What makes a great clilic is staff or the workers who stand up and protect there patients although the current conditions at this clinic seem to need a change. This clinic took a friend in on a grant and promised him he would be taken care of only for the same manager to come back a few weeks later and cancel the patients services it was detrimental to the freind of mine. Very disappointed with this place with that said

Overall my experience has been positive at SMC. The Dr. is easy to talk to and not judgemental. I like that he isn't one of those cheesy typical counselors asking obvious questions. He's smart and understands addiction. The other gentleman who's usually there always welcomes every patient with a warm "good morning!" You can tell he cares a lot about the clinic and the people they help. Honestly I'm not sure if he is the manager or a doctor. The blonde nurse is always so kind and genuine, she's a huge asset to this clinic. I wish there were more like her. There was a nurse that used to work only on Saturdays usually a few months ago. She was a little older than the others but she had a very comforting beautiful smile. Very good with people I was hoping she would come back. A big plus id I've never had to wait longer than 5 or 10 min, usually there's no wait at all I'm in and out. I wish they had longer hours and were open later than 11 am and 9am on Saturdays. If you don't make it in the morning by closing time you are out of luck til the next day. Other places are open in the afternoon and I have heard there is a 24 hour one too. Ultimately I would recommend this clinic it's very clean, quick and the staff I mentioned will provide information to anyone in need and want to help.

So far so good, just went for the 1st time, due to the fact that Im having to Guest-Dose while visiting from Chicagoland (IL). Guest dose pricing: ($40-first day, $20 ea. following day) Also, the atmosphere, although quite a very small/cozy space compared to what I'm used to, had one of actual genuine care and concern - compared to so many of the "money-grabs" I've been accustomed to over the years back home (Chicago & surrounding suburbs)! 💚🖤❤️🩹

Definitely a good place to get real help and be heard as a person not just as a name and number to increase profits. Compassionate care from all the employees (the nurse is the absolute best)

I have been going to this clinic since my daughter was 28 days old, she is now almost 5 years old. I was a patient at one of the larger clinics previously, and without any warning after just giving birth to my little girl my counselor told me “it wasnt a good fit”, and I had 3 days to find a new clinic or be left without a place to dose. I called numerous places that could not help me until days after I would need to dose. I cannot say how blessed I felt when I called SMC and Richard (who was the manager at the time and is now retired) answered and got me in the next morning. I thought getting methadone was all the help I needed until I continued to have issues in life and realized methadone is just the help for physical symptoms of opioid addiction. The counselors at SMC helped me see that there is another side to recovery that has nothing to do with medication….therapy, learning to work through problems, learning to feel again after years of numbing myself with opiates. After 7 years of being on methadone I had resigned myself to believing I would always need to be on it. But, after a ton of support from my counselors at SMC, the nurses, and close family/friends, I finally realized I could get off methadone with their help. I was at 150mgs when I transferred to SMC. I made the decision about 6 months ago to start tapering. They allowed me to do this at my own pace, and to some it may not sound like much, but I went from that 150 to now being at 34mgs. It has not been easy, but having my previous counselor, Lisa (who is no longer there but has moved on to bigger and better things Im sure) and now having my counselor, Deonn who is hands down the best, and never fails to boost my spirits no matter how rough of a day Im having, I am confident I will get to 0. I have to bring my daughter with me most days, and she LOVES it. She is always greeted with lots of love and attention by all 3 counselors, Deonn, Kendra and Tripp and she actually looks forward to going. She even calls my counselor “Uncle De-wan” lol. And honestly, its fitting because they all feel like family. After those first 7 years of being on methadone before SMC I have quite a bit of experience going to other clinics. Every other place Ive been I was just a number. It was obvious. But at SMC they actually care…from your counselor to the other counselors to the nurses and the Drs./nurse practitioners, you will always know you have support. And in recovery, more than anything else, you need support. If youre considering getting on MAT whether it be methadone or suboxone or another option, SMC is the best place to be. If youre already on MAT and considerate transferring, SMC is the place to be. They take some insurances including a couple AHCCCS plans or $60 a week. They best decision Ive ever made for my recovery was coming to SMC.

I went to this clinic a few years ago and was sober for 4 years. I relapsed in 2020, it was a hell of a year. I came back to SMC recovery in December 2021 and they saved my life. They welcomed me with open arms and really made me feel safe. There are more counselors now (there was only 1 before, so 3 new ones is awesome!) so there are lots of people to talk to and connect with. They are very helpful and always greet me with a smile (even when I'm not smiling;)) Thank you SMC Recovery!
