I’d stay far away from Mercy Hospital/Unity Campus, that hospital is a joke and never have I ever been in such compromising, unethical/dangerous and very unprofessional positions then when going to get emergency medical treatment , more than 3 times, they put me in the busy waiting area with a blanket over a wheelchair after having a concussion and bad anxiety and gave me an IM shot of an antipsychotic Olanzapine without my knowledge, which also did NOT mix with the regimen of meds I was on by my doctors ( I was on MULTIPLE meds this medication had negative/Dangerous interaction with and I had to pay the price with horrible side effects until the medication they injected wore off, at home) Plus giving someone an large IM dose of antipsychotic after having a concussion/brain injury that was already effecting my ability to speak, is unethical and not to mention dangerous to my health and recovery.I didn’t find out until I got home and woke up the next day , when I looked at my after visit summary on patient portal. If the concussion didn’t effect my ability to speak for so long, I would have contacted Allina Headquarters to report the situation because of the medical negligence and giving me a serious and very powerful antipsychotic without knowledge that negatively impacted my mental health and physical wellbeing, that I would have rather walked out the door and gone somewhere else then having that drug injected into my muscle. Looking back, I’m actually blown away a place like this can stay afloat without being shut down by the medical board. Word of advice, GO TO DIFFERENT HOSPITAL, no one deserves to traumatized and treated like a lab rat, like I have at this unethical establishment. I wouldn’t even send my worst enemy to this place.

Wow!!! Not going to lie. I went there for a dog bite. Was taken back to intake, he took my blood pressure and put a band-aid on my small wound. The dr peeked I to the I take room and said he would send a prescription over for antibiotics and they sent me home. Got a bill for 939.87. Ummmmm for what??? What a joke!!! Dr spent no time with me, didn't get taken into a room and was gone in 15 mins. NEVER again

This hospital is horrible. They smashed my moms finger between the bed and bed rails and then caused an infection and then removed her whole finger nail and then put her on an antibiotic that caused her to have nonstop diarrhea for going on 3 weeks now. She needed to have an extremely important surgery soon and now we can’t because the constant diarrhea puts her at extreme risk of a UTI which she can’t get the surgery with an infection. The staff caused this whole situation and then was extremely negligent with her care. They wouldn’t even bother changing her diapers and just let her sit in her own feces all day long. This place should be shut down by the state. The entire staff are completely incompetent from the doctors to the nurses to the aides. The doctor never spoke to me once. My mom has dementia and so I requested to be filled in with what’s going on and the Doctor was never around and wouldn’t even call me. This place is terrible on every level. They need to be shut down or fire the whole staff and start over with competent people. Absolutely terrible.

Recently a young man was in your er with an overdose, brought in by the police. Kept over night released at 5:30 am with no place to go and no mental health or addiction help. Not acceptable.

Had a absolutely great experience when visiting the ER on 10/2/25. Had to bring my son in for a possible fractured ankle. They took him back to the intake room right away. Brandon, RN was phenomenal in providing quick and responsive care to my son. Once in and ER room all of the nurses and doctors where kind, courteous and prompt. I know that it can be a hit/miss with health care these days, but the care and attention that were provided was absolutely amazing. Thanks to JoAnna, RN, Bailee, RN, Dr. Kolb and Dr. Smith.

Got to the hospital at 6:00 AM, parking lot had maybe 7-10 vehicles parked. Almost empty. We check in and are called back almost immediately. We get to our room and as the time ticks by barely anything happens. All the staff disappear because they get food catered in. They are gone for almost two hours then they all magically appear at the same time. We waited 6 hours and were completely neglected while staff just walked around. Meanwhile my wife is sitting in a bed in pain waiting to get an ultrasound. Her pain remained the whole time. One of the worst hospitals and customer care I've ever seen. Will be reporting them to MAARC.

It’s disheartening to feel that our First Amendment rights and dignity are being overlooked or dismissed within a healthcare setting. During my visit, I encountered a provider, Amelia Esh, PA, who was notably rude and dismissive. To my shock, I was escorted out of the hospital in a manner that felt unprofessional and disrespectful. Additionally, she attempted to prescribe me medication that was inappropriate and potentially harmful, raising serious safety concerns. I strongly believe that healthcare providers should uphold the highest standards of professionalism, respect, and safety. The behavior I experienced suggests a need for accountability, including reviewing her license, as such conduct can endanger patients. I advise caution to anyone considering treatment at this hospital. Your safety, dignity, and rights should always come first, and sadly, my experience here fell far short of those expectations.
