Just had surgery on my prostate the 20th of Nov 2025. Had to stay in the Hospital until the 24th my surgery went well I'm 65 years young and still in pretty good shape. Now I want to thank God and to the Doctor's and Nurses of the entire Uterologist team and the 4th floor Nurses for taking good care of me. Nothing but the best of care i received from all of you keep up the good work and may God continue to bless you, at home enjoying my recovery time with family.

Update:They continue to be the worst VA. Waited months for a video appointment. They called and canceled with next available appointment almost 2 months later. That's what they always do. Work harder not to see veterans. This is in regards to calling someone here. They will put you on a "brief" hold, 42 minutes, and then you will get disconnected.

I just changed my VA care from Tuscaloosa to VA Birmingham and had my 1st appointment yesterday. They are very friendly and Dr. Marzette seems like a good doctor. He's very friendly and doesn't rush anything. I believe I'm going to like this facility. The only problem I have seen is the parking.

I just called the main number and talked to the operator at the VA Hospital in Birmingham just to get some general information and the lady that answered was extremely nice and very helpful. So if there's other veterans out there looking for help these are some good people.

The parking headache trying to find your way around the building and the never ending construction inside and out think I'm gonna pass on the va!

Clean hospital. If you walk in to be seen, plan on WAITING A LONG TIME! It's definitely better if you have an appointment. But like me today I've got a dental issue so therefore I had to be a walk in, but everything is real clean the bathrooms are all clean and fully stocked, the Patriots store there is no tax, and I've always had real good luck at the va. I know a lot of people complaining but, they're doing a service to our veterans and they've never done me wrong! I hate spending all day at any place, especially a hospital. But if I'm going to have to it's going to be this one. So, they've always done me really well and I'm very grateful for the service that they provide

I Love everything about the Birmingham VA. The Doctors, Nurses, Admin staff, even the Van Drivers and Volunteers are Professional, Helpful and always Friendly. I have 100%+ confidence that my care is in Great hands. I have never had a Bad experience in my entire time and my Healthcare is in the "Beat Care Anywhere"! The entire Staff at the Birmingham VA is Excellent!

They have all been great to my son.
