I've always taken my mental health seriously as I have A lot of complex medical diagnoses and I believe taking care of your mind is just as important to as taking care of your body because they're connected and if your mind isn't okay, you can't expect your body to be either. Anyways, my insurance switch and I lost my previous mental health providers that I trusted so much and with of them I had such a great relationship and foundation with. I've seen plenty of therapists and psychiatrists that that we let's say, just didn't vibe. It was unhelpful. Some burnt out or in their positions for the wrong reasons. At monarch when you first start with them, they do an evaluation hours long that produce some diagnoses. I think it's so important that they spend this time with patients. Then when you go see the psychiatrist they do another hours long evaluation to make sure the diagnoses are correct. Change them if they're not and let you know, hey, you know as we continue to talk to you, get to know you better, Diagnoses might change. I'm my belief that's how mental health providers should provide your care. It's insane to me how quickly people get diagnosed with mental health disorders when they speak to somebody one time and then see them once a month if that yet get prescribed all this medication. Also, that one time meeting is like 30 min to maybe an hour? Not only do I find them very valuable in the way that they approach mental health. The providers that I've spoken with I've had a connection with and they all seem to really care and spend as much time as they need to help you. Not only did they get it right on my diagnoses as I've gotten the same diagnoses since I was very young. They gave me a different one, a new one that nobody ever had and admittedly, I didn't know too much about and was therefore skeptical. Anyways, because of my physical medical complexity and the amount of medication I am on I wasn't even sure nor was the doctor if anything could or should be prescribed. We did come to decide that one prescription, one specifically taken for a specific disorder to stop nightmares and help people sleep. It's one that you can stop if you need to as low blood pressure was a concern and I have to monitor mine every morning. It gets sent the doctor's office and if it's too low I get a message back. You know take it again etc etc Guys, I cannot express being in my thirties and waking up for the first time actually feeling refreshed. I didn't wake up once during the night or did I need to be woken up because I didn't have a nightmare. I actually slept through the night. Anyways, medication is tricky so I don't want to give a review based on a prescription that actually worked because medicine alone doesn't help you by itself. Therapy and the work you out it does. This review I'm doing is because every interaction I've had with monarch down to the people who schedule your next appointment, has been really just pleasant I guess is the word I would use. I could tell they really cared and put the time in to spend with me to help me. Not once did I feel rushed. Not once did I feel like I wasn't being heard. I really felt a connection with everyone I've worked with so far. Like I said, mental health is tricky And really hard to deal with and treat, but I definitely feel like Monarch has so far given me the right tools, education, motivation and care that I I need and as a patient deserves. I say that knowing how bad other mental health providers can be. Also knowing how good other mental health providers can be as well. I definitely give Monarch five stars and hope if you read this and you're looking at reviews considering maybe getting help this review will stop you from reading, wondering, worrying, and give them a call. I don't believe you'll regret it and you deserve it. They'll make you feel like you do as well.

Horrible service denied me help because I was new to the state seen all my previous prescriptions and all and knew they were controlled substances that I’ve been on for awhile and was in danger if I didn’t get help because I was 3 days out worst place ever

Once again our appointment was cancelled and rescheduled. 20 minutes before the appointment time. That’s ridiculous! Fortunately I was home and it was a remote visit but the lack of consideration and respect you have to cancel an appointment 20 minutes prior is soooo unprofessional! Seems it Monarche’s standard operating procedure! .

Monarch is very valuable asset to the mental health community in North Carolina. I’ve been a client of theirs for five years at the Wake Forest location, and have always had great experiences with the various doctors, nurses and counselors they employ. They help with resources if there’s some thing they can’t help you with, as well as medication, and counseling. I would highly recommend Monarch to anyone looking for mental health services.
