The people are wonderful and warm. Its obvious they care

LCS staff is probably the most caring and compassionate that I have ever dealt with. They have offered up a lot of resources, they have worked to accommodate my schedule, which often means they are working well past 5pm, and they are patient, empathetic, and understanding. They have been a huge help to me and my daughter and I would highly recommend them and their wide array of services!

This place does not deserve any stars or your time. This team told someone who needed help that they “couldn’t help a trans person”. How hateful and cruel. I hope that this place get shut down so that no one else has to suffer here.

Lucy Depaolo has one crazy aggressive LLC

So frustrated. Have been trying to get into SA group therapy for over three years. Have been told multiple times that a new group is starting soon and they will call me. In December I was told there haven't been any groups in a couple years but one is starting soon, now almost two months later still no follow up. If they don't have a group they should say so, stringing me along like this is just cruel. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else. UPDATE: within days of writing this review LCS called to say they were FINALLY starting a Level 2 group. The curriculum was ableist, outdated, and condescending, with guided meditations and handouts that are easily found online or through the library for free (and better quality); the "rose bush" exercise suggested that being abused was necessary for us to become good people. There were strong implications that we had chosen to be assaulted (victim blaming is never ok, esp. when the abuse happened to a child) and our behavior was the problem, dismissing the behavior of our abusers. Rather than seeking justice we were encouraged to "accept" our trauma and "let it go", discouraged from validating ourselves as "victims". I feel that rather than empowering survivors, this mentality perpetuates r*pe culture which is particularly harmful when done by an institution claiming to be allies. The Level 1 psychoeducational group was helpful in understanding the way SA/PTSD effects the brain in a very real way much like a TBI. The Level 2 dismissed that helpful information rather than expanding on it. When I voiced my frustrations to the facilitators I was expected to volunteer my time to help them re-write the curriculum, while they continued to charge my insurance.

Called requesting an advocate. Never returned my calls. When I called back was told my number was unreachable the one time they tried and that was that (no one else has had issues getting ahold of me meanwhile). Never followed up.

I would describe this place as a calm, quiet space that's perfect for someone to handle some stressful situations with much needed support available to you. I am grateful for the amazing experience I had here on one of the most difficult days of my life. I never felt alone or unsafe. 10 of 10 I highly recommend 👌

If I could rate this less than 1 star I would. The therapist my daughter had, had no experience or capability to help my daughter.
