Safe Harbor Recovery Center uses an integrated and evidence-based approach to residential and partial hospitalization treatment. Their therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), narrative therapies, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention. Treatment consists of individual, group, and family counseling, addressing medical/biological needs, mental health, nutritional guidance, spirituality, emotional health, physical exercise, and life skills. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Safe Harbor’s PHP program takes place Monday-Friday from 8:30 am–3:30 pm. This program advances recovery through comprehensive addiction treatment services, including individual counseling, relapse prevention, aftercare planning, weekly medical management appointments, weekly yoga sessions, and mindfulness education. Veteran-specific PHP is also available at Safe Harbor. Veteran-Specific Programs Safe Harbor’s staff have participated in PsychArmor’s training program to better help veterans throughout their recovery from substance use. The 45-day residential treatment program includes family and support system involvement, trauma-informed care, yoga, nutrition education, equine therapy, and neurofeedback services. Service dogs are welcome. Alumni Group 30 days after graduation, clients can join Safe Harbor’s alumni group, which meets one Sunday per month. The group shares challenges and successes in early recovery. Reunions are also held on an annual basis.
