Absolutely the best rehab experience of many! Feels like home and a family they truly care and the program taught me a lot! Counselors are great! Has a professional music studio! Everything is upscale! Thank You so much Vanity

I'm here now. The staff talk to patients crazy. A staff member "Q" spoke to me so rudely regarding an approved drop off. I'm new and don't know this lady. So why am I being spoken to like a dog?

This past April and May I was a client @ the APT Men's residential; brace yourself to hear my experience. All the staff with the exception of the director Dan, assistant director Adam S, and clinician Adam O, were ethical and professional. As you read my review you'll understand my indifference. The afternoon of April 30th, 2025, Adam O had me sign "successful discharge" paperwork, to be discharged the following morning May 1st. That evening two clients ( both younger) I met in the program were having an altercation with another client. The guys I know were going into the bathroom to resolve the issue. Being an Ordained Minister, I went along to hold the guys to there word that they would not further escalate the issue. After imparting positive constructive advice, and because the third unknown individual was making sexual derogatory comments, I removed myself from the bathroom. Shortly after the two guys I know came rushing out. The guys told me that the other guy fell while attempting to pursue them to urinate on them. Nothing from that situation was a issue for the rest of the evening. The next morning while in group, an anxiously awaiting, and expecting to depart, I was summoned to my Clinician Adam O's office. He greeted me and engaged me in small talk about my rotater cuff tear shoulder injury. Within a couple of minutes, Hartford Parole unit, along with my parole officer, aggressively barged into the office and ambushed me as if I was wanted fugitive for a serious crime. No one informed me of or why I was being apprehended in such aggressive manner. I was in utter fear, as parole cuffed me to perp walk me out to the car, where there was a slew of parole officers lined up and down the walkway, to the APT Foundation. All I was told by my parole officer, is that I was being transported to New Haven Correctional Center, and remanded into custody. When we got there the other two guys I knew were already there, and they both began yelling out, " why is he here he had nothing to do with that incident" over and over. Then my parole officer said " you are remanded for your involvement in yesterday's altercation". I was in complete disbelief. I told her if someone had asked me or spoke to me about that, they would have learned; not only was I not involved in it; I attemted to deescalate it. The APT Foundation flipped the script and file an incident report stating they are "unsuccessfully discharging" me, because they have a "zero tolerance policy against physical violence". Like parole, they to ignored the facts that I was not involved in the incident and didnot physically abuse anyone, which was falsely alluded to in there reports of the incident. I will be attaching those reports for viewing soon. That said, be on Your p's and q's so these same antics don't happen to you should you choose to go Into that program. I returned to get my property (which included my coin collection) to find out Dan the director failed to secure it or gave it away to another client without my permission. Based on my experience, I would not recommend anyone to that program.
