Absolutely the best rehab experience of many! Feels like home and a family they truly care and the program taught me a lot! Counselors are great! Has a professional music studio! Everything is upscale! Thank You so much Vanity

I was hired to maintain some apartments and they don't want to pay me. I don't know how they can say they help people when they use one for their own benefit.

Called this place shortly after 8:30am on 11/18/2025 to make a food donation and was hung up on 3 times by some woman answering the phones. When I called back, this person claimed she “didn’t really know” and suggested I call back later. This place claims to help veterans and the homeless in the area, but based on this interaction and another review where a bunch of used clothes were turned away, it’s places like these that make it harder, not easier for people in need to receive what they need. If you have items that this place won’t take, consider the fridge and donation cabinet a few steps to the East of the Christy Webber Garden Center at 2833 W Chicago where items are always accepted 24/7.

I heard that they was up on the new management in which is probably a great thing unless Mark Mulroe is still there running the place down and losing sponsorship. Well he and the legal liaison lied to me about working on the second floor of veterans as a case manager aid while working in the laundry room at the time. They needed new management in HR definitely.

It looks like one of the best shelters ever it does. But everything that glitters AINT GOLD. There is only one case manager at the moment and her name is tameisha and she does not help everyone even when its an emergency and i get it because its just her on weekdays helping people but sometimes i catch her and find her in the lunchroom just socializing when i told her many times the people next door lock our side of the bathroom she never unlocks it for us…another issue is that my toddler wasnt eating any of the food they make so i tried to bring food she eats nothing frozen of course just baby foods or baby snacks they wouldnt allow so she would starve most if the time. And they dont expect you to make mistakes and be human like of course someone is going to find you attractive…even the staffs flirt with eachother, the staffs flirt with the residents. But what i hated the most is that the police is there everyday making a scene and the case manager tameisha went against my religion when she was doen talking me like i was worthless she told me i had a weak mind and i told her god is going to get me through this she told me no god is not and mentioned mental health classes to me…and didnt expect me to be pissed off by that. I been harrassed by many of the female staffs!

Oh and I wanted to share it's run by a husband and wife a duo who are in recovery and they're pretty much you know it's more business to them than it is It's business it's not personal and you know what you can't do that in this kind of field because it is personal we are humans and we are being and you can't judge us like that You can assume all you want we're all just one drink away or one whatever away and people don't seem to understand that so but you know granted you know I guess they're entitled to you know they're fancy trips to Puerto Rico and girl time spas and you know all this stuff I just seen the other day one of the staff members outside purchasing boosted I think it was boosted cologne outside from another person and he was hassling him because he said it was 40 nots 30 and I was looking at them like man that's a that's just messed up you know You know it's just it's like you know it's a joke It's a complete joke. And their mental health department there The interns are fantastic but they seem to be in rotation about every 3 months so it's very very hard for someone who's been traumatized for so long and dealing with copernic mechanism such as drug abuse or or whatever they may maybe they're not going to negative coping mechanism it's it's sort of hard to just you know finally be able to trust somebody after being that they're they're your therapist for 3 months and then they say oh okay bye here's the next one You know and none of its confidential they share it all about to everybody not just head of staff and mental health but these share it throughout the whole building even corporate. And it was funny because I just went to court the other day and my case manager was in the same courtroom as me just finished his probation You know kudos to him but you know it's just I don't know it leaves feelings of you can't trust it You have to build a special bond in a rapport with the therapist if anything to start a healing the trauma process so all they're really doing is take putting a bandit on and ripping it off consistently and that's building more and more trauma what they're doing this just so you know these interns can get there whatever they're they're internship in or whatever but it's at the expense of us the veterans the mentally disabled the addicted the youth in there the incarcerated.
