They won't hesitate to charge you upfront at admission up to your out-of-pocket maximum, but then not answer their phones, return voicemails, or just pass you around on emails when you request a refund for the overpayment when insurance covers 100% of treatment. They've held my money for nearly 3 months now. If you are being admitted, refuse to pay them ANYTHING upfront because their billing practices are dishonest. Not only that, I got a separate bill from them for doctor services that they want me to pay. I'm refusing to pay those until I get the money back we are owed for the overage on room and board.

My son recently spent 7 days in the facility and Unfortunately, my experience at this facility was deeply disappointing in several key areas. Communication and coordination of care were almost nonexistent. Despite being a patient, I never once spoke to a doctor throughout his entire stay, which is both unacceptable and concerning.What made the situation even more frustrating was the inconsistent communication. The business office had no trouble reaching me to discuss payment options, yet somehow every other department — including those directly involved in my sons care — apparently had the wrong number. This lack of coordination created unnecessary confusion and stress during an already difficult time.Professionalism was sorely lacking from much of the daytime staff. There seemed to be little sense of urgency or accountability, and basic respect for patients was not a consistent standard. However, there were a few bright spots that prevent me from giving this facility just one star.The night shift clinical staff was truly amazing — attentive, supportive, and compassionate when it mattered most. The front desk team was warm and welcoming, and both nurses Michael and Holden stood out during the day shifts for their professionalism, respect, and genuine care. They were the exception, not the rule. Overall, this facility has serious systemic issues it needs to address, especially in communication and care coordination. Until then, I would caution going here. I will be reporting the lack of care to my insurance

All this bad reviews are so confusing because this place saved my child life. The staff was amazing it is not true that they force to medicate you. The dr was very detail and not once did I feel forced for anything for my child. I would 100% recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff in this place ♥️ I am forever grateful 🙏 you are all not appreciated enough on this reviews.

The Tempe facility is freezing. It was so cold that I never took a shower in the week I was there and I normally shower daily. I was not the only patient that didn't shower while there and the majority of the patients were complaining about how freezing it was. Staff said they couldn't fix it even though there were numerous complaints. I won't go back to this facility because it is literally freezing. The staff and program were okay, but it's hard to concentrate when you are freezing. Please fix this problem.

Run!! If you refuse any medication or treatment they will discharge your child promptly. My child was even self injurious and they allowed him to harm himself and bash his head. Chemical restraint after restraint and then just said we're done, get him. I plead with you, take your child anywhere else, Mind 24/7, phoenix childrens, anywhere. DO NOT believe the standard reply to all these posts saying they would love to connect to discuss. Its lies. All these people are telling the truth. I wanted to believe these could not be true but I saw for myself and will forever live with regret as a parent for putting my child there. My child now has ptsd from what was experienced there. It is heartbreaking and sad. I wish you all prayers and luck.

To the person reviewing these; quit your job and work somewhere else, where they aren’t allowing untrained and nasty staff to interact with sick people. How do you sleep at night working there? The abuse and stuff you must see. You should report all of it. There are anonymous helplines for people who work in awful places and you my friend work for an awful and abusive place. The only truly unreasonably mentally ill folks here are the staff. If you are not homeless and you have other options go anywhere else. They don’t even have electrolytes for patients and in an emergency your loved one can die as the staff is confused by patients advocating for themselves. I called 911 from the Gila floor to go get an IV and then the hospital released me because I was better once I got medical attention🏆 Im reporting Auroa to the news, medical board and AZ department of health services. I’ll also be submitting this story to any where accepting writing pieces. Thanks for the inspiration to escape, it showed me how much I value myself and my freedom. You guys know how to steer people away and for that I grateful I did t get stuck there with bad people. One BHT guy was ok. But only one. That’s enough to make even a “sane” person feel on edge let alone someone experiencing health issues of any kind. you or your loved one being exposed to that isn’t healthy. If you are someone who doesn’t want antipsychotics or other medications then do not come here. Find other options. Call community resources, go anywhere else if you can. I won’t be speaking to their internal quality assurance folks either because you can’t use their broken attitudes to make a positive change. Also see this employees super telling bumper stickers who gets off on being the jailer of people who need help. Also the insurance and billing lady tried to get me to sign some paper with insurance considered bill amounts that she told me was an “inaccurate estimate” because my primary insurance was listen as secondary. Get an itemized bill.
