This BHN facility has its ups and downs to it. From May 2018, to current day! I have experienced so much over the years. From being a Co-Ed Detox up until 2022. My last time being in this building in 2021, I'm now a resident of Connections. My caseworker Alex is very reasonable and understanding. The program director Jen is a wonderfully kind and cooperative person. This is a locked facility, where you have to be let on or off the unit. The different paths in recovery are accepted. There is from a structured guidance program here. 3 beds in each room, 3 meals provided daily, and staff (Recovery Specialists & Clinical Counselors) that will provide help/assistance/resources. I've been here in this new program for a week now and have adjusted very well. My future here will be very conducive to my recovery, I also believe that I can and will be very successful. The downsides here are only, grievance forms aren't responded to timely. Your not allowed to bring food or beverages on to unit. Very

Very good place. More private don’t have to stand in line for nothing. The nurses are great. They work with you very well!!! Yes with the bottles!! Very fast you can receive them!! They are very nice. LATE DOSING WOULDN’T HURT. Extra 30 minutes wouldn’t hurt at all!!!!! Y’all have till 3pm! 30 minutes wouldn’t hurt at all!!!! Would be appreciated by everyone!!!!!!! Only thing is why no females/detox?! We need more than Carlson or Worcester for the females. The worst places to send a female too. Should seriously look into bringing detox back for EVERYONE. It’s not fair at all and there’s literally no where for females other than the one place no one wants to be because it’s uncomfortable and not a good place. Worcester or any places up that way are not either. You guys really messed up the females side of getting help. You became not a resource for help. It’s sad. People still need you guys. Don’t need to be sectioned to get help. * Don’t suggest detox if you can’t provide it DOCTORS & NURSES & SUPERVISORS of the Clinic. * Glad you can be sectioned there if need be though but no one tryna get sectioned to get help so. Really think about changing downstairs treatment because just a male CSS is sad and you are wasting beds for people who need DETOX! I see no one for CSS! Barely! BRING BACK DETOX FOR EVERYONE. Thanks for what y’all do though but definitely take these suggestions into consideration. They are serious suggestions and would help everyone. Idk who would even do that to people who need detox. Very sad idea to switch it up especially with Providence/MiraVista shutting down their detox!!!!

If you saw a red and black Phoenix bird drawing, that was me (: I miss the staff & all the people I’ve met there. I’d recommend this program to any and every person with addiction! If you have a problem with this program then probably you out to stop running your own program!

This place is the best!!!! I was at HCRC for a little over a year and many issues with them during that time. BHN has been so accommodating with me so far,and Bonnie's so nice!!!

Showed up at 8 pm and still waiting now at 10:05 to be brought in never been to a place like this before

This place is the worst. Feels like a prison; no unblocked windows, nothing to do, concrete walls and mandatory scrubs. There are much better options in massachusetts.

I have very likely been to nearly every program in Western and Central Massachusetts, and this one was the best by far. Great staff, professional, friendly and compassionate, and they maintain a positive and relaxed atmosphere while enforcing rules, i.e. fighting, fraternizing (if ur looking for a detox hookup, look elsewhere, people there are there for recovery, and basic politeness hh you all the help and support you need, both in-house and if you wish to go on to further treatment. Highly recommend them.
