The Bobby Benson Center in Hawaii provides treatment for adolescents and adults struggling with substance use and co-occurring disorders. The center offers interim services such as education and referrals for pregnant teens and IV drug users between 13 and 17 years old while they are waiting for admission. They understand that addiction is a disease and that destructive behaviors can be changed, emphasizing a hopeful approach to recovery. Trauma-Informed & Family-Focused Recovery The center integrates a trauma-informed care model, recognizing the impact of past trauma on current behaviors. They incorporate trauma-informed care into their policies and practices to avoid re-traumatization and promote healing. In addition, family involvement is a core aspect of their treatment, as they believe in the importance of strong family relationships for lasting recovery. They provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, along with various educational groups and activities to support clients on their journey. Support at Every Level: Residential & Outpatient Care The center offers both residential treatment for adolescents and outpatient services (IOP and OP) for adolescents and adults. Residential treatment provides a supportive environment where individuals can learn the necessary skills to overcome addiction. Outpatient services provide levels of care and support for those who do not require overnight stays. Both programs focus on providing a holistic and individualized approach to treatment to meet the unique needs of each person.
