Covenant Hills Treatment Center (Covenant Hills) provides faith-based and traditional treatment tracks for women with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. Covenant Hills’ optional faith-based Christian track incorporates biblical teachings and prayer, proven evidence-based therapies, the 12 Steps, individual and group therapy, and relapse prevention therapy. Their traditional non-Christian program uses the 12 Steps and welcomes clients of all backgrounds. Proven Treatments for Co-Occurring Disorders Covenant Hills treats addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions in a 60-day residential program, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and an aftercare program. They focus on women’s unique situations and needs, like motherhood, sexual assault, pregnancy, body image, and more. Women can form strong friendships and benefit from a safe space to discuss and share women-specific challenges. Covenant Hills provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma therapy, pastoral counseling, and family therapy throughout their levels of care. Gender-Specific Treatment Programs Covenant Hills’ women’s center in Dana Point welcomes up to 14 women. After an initial assessment, Covenant Hills arranges detox with an affiliated medical facility before women return for residential treatment. After residential treatment, women can move into day treatment with housing available at Covenant Hills’ Orange County sober living homes. Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) offers 3 hours of clinical and spiritual care Monday-Friday. Clients can live at home or in sober living homes during IOP. Optional Christian Recovery Track And Thorough Aftercare Covenant Hills’ Christian recovery track includes daily devotionals, pastoral counseling, and time for prayer and meditation. Clients in all programs can enjoy nutrition and health education, Gorski relapse prevention therapy, experiential activities, and off-site equine therapy led by one of their marriage and family therapists. Covenant Hills’ aftercare offerings include continued anger management groups, anxiety and stress groups, family dynamic groups, and skill-building groups. Alumni meet in regular support groups. Covenant Hills uniquely offers a Recovery Assurance Guarantee, which welcomes clients back for one free week of stabilization and evaluation if they relapse after attending treatment at Covenant Hills.

My experience has allowed me to change my purpose in life and given me a purpose to march forward. I walked in not thinking I would make it more than a few days, stayed over 100 days in treatment finishing all that was suggested, because I want to give myself a shot at staying sober and putting back the pieces I had broken. I walked out a man of Faith, a fresh start, and people around me lifting me up including my family. Thank you Jeremiah my case manager for helping me from gaining employment, assisting in therapy, and finding a place to live, everything I didn't have walking in those doors. Now I will give back what I learned and volunteer any chance I get, I am forever in debt!

Covenant Hills is truly life-changing — the best treatment center around. I work in the treatment field and have experienced a few programs myself, but hands down, Covenant Hills stands out above the rest. The staff is incredibly attentive to each client’s individual needs and genuinely cares about every person who walks through their doors. They pour their hearts into helping clients process, heal, and recover from addiction — creating an environment that is both productive and enjoyable. They don’t waste a moment when it comes to providing the tools, support, and guidance clients need exactly when they need it. In my own recovery, as I now work to help others in theirs, I always circle back to where my first steps into sobriety began — and that’s at Covenant Hills. They not only helped me get sober, but they guided me toward what came next in my life. For that, I’ll always be grateful.

Jason runs a tight ship which is needed for those of us in need of recovery. He has a fantastic staff to support their program. Standouts are Jeremiah, Jaden and Damien. Great people who truly care. If you or a loved one needs help with substance abuse, this is the place to go.

I live near the treatment center downtown in San Clemente. They are extremely disrespectful to the neighbors. There is constant yelling, whistling, clapping and noise. I don’t know how the people that live close to it tolerate it. I’m at my wits end. I appreciate the effort facilities like this provide but they should not be located in a neighborhood like this, especially if they are going to be so disruptive to the local community.

God lives in the group rooms of Covanent Hills. At the end of 2024 I had lost everything, my engagement ended, I lost my job, I went to jail, my family didn’t want anything to do with me and my drug addiction was at an all time high, I was sure I would kill myself. I felt so much shame and guilt that I was sent to a psychiatrist ward for help until my family reached out to the most helpful and considerate man, Ken F. in admissions. He called every day to help me get into Covanent Hill’s residential treatment. Thank you to Britt for doing my intake and making the process less scary. I was in residential treatment for 90 days where I met the most amazing women who helped me change my whole perspective on life and myself. I came in suicidal and with an excessive of self hatred. No one as ever taken an interest in helping me and their constant love and support has changed my life. I have forever been changed through my considerate case manager Shelby, my compassionate therapist Heather and all the staff Dena, Maddie, Blue, Jen, Jenny, Anne Marie, Whittney, grief group Cathy, Pastora Nicole, Tammy and Jillian. It cannot be put into words how these women have saved me and changed my life. I am forever grateful! Also Riley is cool and Darren is the best! Thank you Covanent Hills.

I had Spent 105 days at this treatment center and it’s by far the best treatment place I’ve gone too if your serious about sobriety and feeling Christ presence while getting sober please please come here and try and ask for Jason as your case manager he’s been the best person here making sure all my needs are met and he’s so helpful with everything even making sure your set for after the treatment center . It only allows me to give 5 stars but they deserve 10 . Shoutout to Jason and Jeremiah for being the best group facilitators

This place is wonderful, and saved my life! They have a traditional 12-step track and Christian one, too. I had always done AA, so I thought I'd check out the Christian aspect, and my faith grew tremendously. There are three pastors on staff, and they allow each client to have his own personal journey. Nothing is heavy handed, or forced in the least. I wasn't disappointed, I found a relationship there with my Higher Power that I never thought was possible again after the spiritual bankruptcy I had come in with. Also, even on the Christian track, there is so much AA incorporated. My case manager was Jason Gill. He saw me weekly for hourly sessions and always listened to my concerns, making time for me whenever I needed to talk. He also coodinated my discharge extrmely well to allow me to progress to the next step in my sobriety journey. My therapist was Jeremiah Wright, and he never missed an opportunity to push me forward and encourage me. He also connected me with resources on the outside for further growth in sobriety and my spiritually. The staff is friendly, compassionate, and understanding. Most of them went through there, and they expressed that it is their pleasure to work where they are alumni. I also wanted to mention the house managers, very accommodating to clients' needs. Sometimes, it felt like they did more therapy for me than the case workers and therapists!
