Idk who said Matt was cool, but Andy sure is. Matt made comments doubting me recovering. The rules suck, the meds don’t help if you’re actually detoxing, the place is too damn small, you can’t use the gym everyday only when your unit is allowed, if you’re having an anxiety attack / anything ptsd related they won’t let you outside or have anything to do for you they’ll just let you freak out until you’re so uncomfortable that you’re a problem then they’ll over exaggerate your actions (especially Matt) the group was amazing, the people were good, there was one guy consoling me when Matt came in and made comments that eventually just ran me out of the building, the food is terrible, the skinny blonde broad acts understanding then makes fun of you when you’re not in the room, the black lady who gives meds in the morning is mean, and over all I’d just recommend going somewhere else, this isn’t a place you can be comfortable in if you’ve ever been homeless or if you have any kind of REAL TRUAMA, they also let their patients glorify smoke breaks and I don’t even smoke cigarettes but while I was there I sure as hell did. Decided leaving that place and finding treatment for vivitrol with a pcp would be more conducive than this pathetic program & their groups don’t even deep dive into things that are important like the CBT program at Meridian in Pontiac Michigan does (which is way better)… anyways, if you wanna be in pain everyday and have a crappy experience, go here, where they act like they care but don’t. I on the other hand will find my Sponsors from somewhere else. The only kind staff was Emma, Ramon, and the Brunette lady that does your intake. Other than that was a terrible experience and I’ve been to over 10 treatment centers around the country, this was hands down the worst one.

Matt and Andy are great, but the rules suck and they give you meds you don't need. 2 star at best, also they could care less about your hurt foot

It's always nice to have a space like this.

At age 17 they put me in the adult ward and were buying me cartons of cigarettes.

If I can give this facility a zero I would. I had great hopes for my father to come here and receive help and treatment. Instead they kicked him out and removed him from the property. The program director sam Ortega was no help in trying to resolve the issue or even attempting to give us some type of help to move forward. She Just gave him the boot to the door which I found extremely disrespectful. They should be patient and understanding of people that are coming here to receive help. I don’t appreciate how they had us leave the facility with no type of support or other options for assistance.

I called them Thursday, I spoke with them & said they would return the call Friday. Called again on Friday and then they said Saturday. Never returned the call. Do I have to beg? You know, a man is only as good as his word. My loved ones wanted to take me here, as I did my research, their website and reviews tells me this place sucks! They definitely take advantage of vulnerable people, their intention is just profit!

This was second time here. I was at gateway 13 years ago. That experience wasn't as good. Staff there, fantastic,but the other patients not so much. I was in the C-unit. To many distractions. A lot of disrespect and distractions from the other clients. I couldn't focus on why I was there. This time around I was in the G-Unit and I can't say anything bad at all. Smaller unit,helped my focus on why I was there. Learned a lot. I'm starting school again to get my CADC certification. It all has to do with gateway. The staff showed such compassion and gave me great knowledge. Daneasa, Andy,Marti,Hofsa, Sophia,Julia, Lorena and Jennifer were excellent. I would refer gateway to anyone who needs the help. My goal is hopefully speak there in six months and possibly do my internship when that time comes. Also,nurses and kitchen staff also wonderful. Thank you for letting me do this survey. Also, thank you to getting me on the right path to a new life.
