Absolutely the worst patient service I've ever seen. I have over 22 years clinical experience at Seattle Children's and have traveled the country teaching clinical specialties with anesthesia (including HV). I did most of my clinical rotation at HV. If your dying or homeless it's great, other than that, get the hell out. The incompetence and HIPPA violations are outrageous. Within 24 hrs they lost my glasses and still haven't replaced them. They didn't even care. Their mission statement is a complete lie.

My surgery is scheduled for the 23rd of December and both my husband and I have been EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with all of my appointments thus far! The Spine Center, Vascular Center, MRI Imaging, Lab, Internal Medicine group, Anesthesia were all sooo very thorough taking my medical history, answering our questions, being so friendly and NEVER discounting my symptoms or concerns. I'm a 31 year veteran nurse and am still working currently so I'm very picky about my care. Dr's Zhou and Starnes have been soon attentive and have treated myself and my husband with the utmost respect and support for my surgery. It was a complete 180 degree difference from another physician I had been referred to in another facility where we both were treated like we were wasting his time. Even though they had accepted the consult and made multiple imaging requests and the surgery consult only to be treated like I was an idiot. My husband has never liked hospitals but today during our extensive pre-op visits with multiple areas he stated, "this has really been a pleasant experience with everyone ". I know there are signs throughout the hospital where you can recognize individuals for outstanding work, but you don't have a sign big enough for me to recognize everyone we've had the pleasure of encountered thus far. I'm going to be an inpatient during Christmas, but honestly I'm actually looking forward to it not only for my pain relief but to be handled with the love, compassion and commitment your staff exudes. Darius & Stephen E Ludgwen in Patient Relations (who has been there since 1996!) Let’s not forget all the truly amazing people at the labs! It makes getting your blood drawn, almost joyful… …and finally the two happy guys working the burger grill Dec4 2025 lunch. The burgers on gf buns were amazing. (Super nice guys during a busy day! Never seen cafeteria so busy! )and intake /scheduling people I’m leaving out like Zac, Justin, Justin #2, Sylvie, Michelle… They have ALL truly made a huge significant positive impact & difference in the quality of my life, hearing, walking, eating, and literally & figuratively holding myself up & sanity after coming to Wa to recover from a long rollercoaster of physical, mental and emotional journey from 2012 fatal MVA ploytrauma in Florida. When I rode Metro Access after an appointment here, the Hispanic American driver bullied me!!!!

Jay was the PCT for our daughter and he was so sweet! He even put her hair in a braid for her.
