Hope & Healing Addiction Treatment Center in Surprise, AZ, is a safe, healing-centered environment where clients can recover from addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges through clinically effective, trauma-informed care. They treat addiction at the root by addressing the underlying trauma, not just the behaviors on the surface . Care is in-network with most insurances, accredited for quality and safety, and also available in Spanish and Navajo. Rebuild & Relax in a Peaceful Home Located in a suburban neighborhood northwest of Phoenix, Hope & Healing offers a 10-bed, co-ed residential setting designed for comfort and connection. Their clean, homelike environment provides a safe, stable space free from everyday triggers , where clients can focus fully on recovery. Amenities include a traditional sweat lodge for reflection and renewal, plus leisure activities such as foosball to encourage relaxation and community. Keep Momentum in Healing Hope & Healing’s continuing care program helps clients safely transition from residential treatment into daily life without losing the accountability and guidance that made early recovery possible. Each client receives a personalized plan to help them navigate triggers, rebuild relationships, and gain independence. Plans often include a Hope & Healing outpatient program, ongoing therapy, access to 12-Step and SMART support groups, telehealth appointments, job development training, and supportive housing.

I honestly love this place! Out of the last 2 treatment centers I've been to this place actually cares and you can see it! This place has truly helped me to become a better person & work through my trauma without judgement. Staff is wonderful! I can go on and on. It's definitely worth more then 5 stars!! 💜 Thank you for being a part of my life and my recovery! 💜

Some staff were nice but there's a lot of favoritism that goes on in. The classes are honestly not the best, it's mostly everyone goofing off if not sleeping through it. They also allow your roommates to steal stuff. Literally my roommate stole my earbuds, clothes, earrings & shoes. If I complained they said deal with it amongst each other. They also don't give you time to rest, they make you wake up early & go to bed late with little breaks or time to eat. They act like they care for the first 2 weeks then after that they stop putting on a face. It's ridiculous & I'd rather sleep on the streets again then be here. Mind you it's mix of male & female housing. This means house managers let the males & females have romantic relationships even though it's not allowed. They also let the men be gross around me. If you have any medical issues like I did while there they also don't give a crap. They told me I was pretending & lying about my simptoms. Once they made me go to the ER & I got back at 2am they made me wake up at 6 to go to class even though I wasn't feeling well. Again only go if you have to & if it's absolutely necessary.

I found Hope and Healing to be a fairly nice place to start my inner healing. However there is this person by the name of Tom, a therapist who was very rigid and unprofessional from the get go. This started as soon as I set foot on the premise. This was referred by Copper Springs in Avondale, where I went to for depression treatment. I pay extreme loyalty for the people there. My problem is that if one person should make decisions without knowing the safety and security unto an establishment, that person should be held accountable for his or her actions. I can understand the validity of an open session where one can be accountable, but in the very confines of the sweat lodge is critical, not only in the eyes of the patient but as extremities of a sacred place of prayer and worship. I hope that this person will be tolerated in the future of this place, and or by laws of such an organization that deal with a person’s life and death situations. My contention still stands, and if this isn’t taken care of, I will personally take it to the state for further investigation.

I would highly recommend Hope and Healing! They provide compassionate, individualized care giving hope for those on their recovery journey. Brian Tousignant and Michael Cunningham go above and beyond to be there to support individuals both seeking treatment and throughout their journey.

There is something special going on at H&H every week has been filled with treatment modalities that are new and engaging. From admission to AMA blocks this program meets and exceed industry standard let’s just say I’ve been around the block. From their kind and considerate BHTS to their talking circles and Wellbriety teachings. This program really has it all. Thanks H&H Team!

Hi I’m Forrest, I am from the Menominee Reservation in Wisconsin and a U.S Marine Veteran. Hope and & Healing holds a special place in my heart. I been in my addiction with alcohol since the Marine Corps and after serving my time I returned home on my Reservation in Wisconsin and struggled with my addiction throughout the years. I did my fair share with treatments at the VA. Substance Abuse and PTSD programs. But each time I relapsed. I wasn’t committed to recovery. Something was missing in my recovery. But my last relapse, I attended Hope & Healing and they helped me find what been missing in my recovery and in myself. Hope and Healing helped me regain my traditions and spirituality and my mindset is so different. Everything about that place is amazing to me. The workers are great, The camaraderie with the brothers was amazing and there was a lot of knowledge in the programming from the facilitator’s and you felt comfortable the first time you step into the program. They have the most respect for our native people, our veterans and our way of life. Since hope and healing, I completed my 12 steps, I am now building a foundation for myself in the recovery community and hope to give back and become a big participant and mentor in the recovery community for veterans and natives.
