Located blocks away from Sea Cliff Beach in Glen Cove, Living Waters for Women offers sober transitional housing for women with substance use concerns who are disenfranchised or have been incarcerated. The n21 bus line stops within 2 blocks of the house, providing access via public transit to Great Neck and other parts of Glen Cove. Philosophy and Approach Founded by a woman who once led 12-Step meetings while incarcerated, Living Waters for Women is a nonprofit organization seeking to provide supportive and comfortable transitional housing. Living Waters takes a strengths-based approach, helping develop clients’ strengths and overcome their weaknesses. Women participate in work, volunteer, and educational opportunities at Living Waters, preparing for independent living.
