Founded in 1975, MARR Addiction Treatment Centers is a private organization that provides long-term residential addiction treatment to men and women. They are dedicated to bringing lasting recovery through intensive, high-quality, gender-specific rehab programs. MARR offers two residential homes in Georgia. The women’s treatment center is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and the men’s treatment center is located in Atlanta, Georgia. MARR treats clients who are struggling with the aftermath of drug and alcohol addictions. Both residences use individual and group therapy. Some individual therapies used include psychiatric/clinical evaluation, addiction education, and relapse prevention. Group therapies can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family dynamics, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), yoga, and spiritual guidance. MARR places an emphasis on community while in recovery, so they offer different residential activities and groups like work/life balance and boundaries and relationships to their clients. MARR additionally has a special disordered eating program where clients meet with a registered dietician, attend meal group, receive mindful eating education, and attend 12-Step meetings for ED recovery. MARR addiction treatment center has different phases of treatment for both men and women. Phase 1 is 6 weeks long, phase 2 is 8 weeks long, and phase 3 is 12 weeks or longer. MARR has volleyball courts, basketball courts, and offers outings to the local shops and hiking. The accommodations are shared and gender-specific. MARR has a COVID-19 protocol that clients will be tested for the antibodies before admitting new clients.
