Problems from day 1! Lost my urine, mixed my dirty clothes with clean ones, etc. Food is good sometimes. Eating area smells like poop. Not enough snacks, milk, or ice. Need another machine for both. Had to hunt a pen down because they have none apparently. Only 1 TV. Wouldn't give me any psyche meds at first until I threatened to leave! 1 week in & meds still not right. Tried to do a transfer & they keep trying to talk me out of it & refuse to cooperate. Tried to put me (a disabled veteran) on the street instead, to walk home, a 3 hour drive! This place is primarily addiction treatment. They sent some punk (director of admissions) to threaten to kick me out for no good reason! Asking me if I am schizophrenic...but they know how deal with vets, they say. BS!Clinical director is full of it. Was told it was dual diagnosis but its not primarily mental health. Which is what I need! You have to walk around looking for staff or wait hours. Most staff are nice & care. Too much bible talk in groups though! HIPPA PRIVACY LAWS BEING VIOLATED HERE! Place is NOT SAFE/needs security! Another corporate one that just wants your money! Which is proven by them taking too many people in while understaffed. & they don't tell ya this but don't leave AMA or you'll be walking home, from all/any of them.

Someone said it perfectly in a previous review this place is like hurting chickens The client staff ratio is ridiculous. Waiting in nursing line for hours There is no separation of detox nursing and regular patient nursing for med distributing, causing hours of sitting on the floor waiting for your meds Many fights have broken out.. easy to sneak drugs in which people do not get kicked out. Several clients sleeping with the opposite sex and not getting kicked out This place was an amazing place it has slowly Gone downhill for the worst, especially since it’s been taken over by corporation. If you were private insurance Not related to government insurance I would suggest going somewhere else.

This place saved my life. Its a beautiful place, nice views, food is great but they will feed you a lot of carbs lol, dont worry if you have dietary restrictions they can accommodate, staff is kind and caring, you get out of this what you put into it, phone admissions and the website need to be updated on how they advertise (for the time being, subject to change, there is no yoga, no meditation classes, no barber so bring your shavers and clippers, no more 3 choice classes and multiple art classes, co ed is almost rid of now, hikes and fishing is only once per month not daily, and you only get youre phone from 3 pm to 8 pm unless youre php, black out is 6-7 days not 3 and you have to goto classes or no phone.) My only other complaint is the medical staff (not all of them) is not very accommodating to all your conditions, bring your own pescribed home meds so you dont have to wait for a new pescription, med wait lines are long, some are rude, some are very kind but unfortunately overwhelmed, I think they can do better and im not the only one who's noticed it. They are understaffed so be paitent. Other than that this place helped me so much, the rules and nit picky things to complain about are nothing compared to my life being on the line so im glad I came here and trust me many other places are waaayyy more restricted on rules than this so just remember this isn't a vacation, youre coming here to save your life and heal. I have been trying for over a week to get a simple admissions letter emailed to me and they refuse to send it to me. I signed an ROI while in treatment so the letter could be released to my attorney but they refused to cooperate even after directly discussing the importance of the document and signing the ROI specifically so they'd release info to my attorney. Now I've not only got serious legal issues I can't even resolve them bc they still won't send the email to me even. It's now been a week since I've completed the program and they still can't manage to send a simple email. They certainly didn't have any issues getting the 3k a day from my insurance that's for sure. Also, they allow the men and women to have sex in the woods. The RA's are aware these people are coupling up and disappearing together in the evening but it's allowed to continue. Talk about risky behavior.

It's awful to how badly My. Sinai has deteriorated since last summer. Negligence, disregard for patient well-being, and highly unprofessional behavior have become the norm. I'm at my wit's end, & I've sent complaints to the Joint Commission & Georgia DCH. Nurses & staff members are often overheard mocking clients. No action is taken about patients who pose great risks to the ommunity, use racial slurs, traffick drugs, have been witnessed being under the influence & pridefully boast about having been here 4 times. Our valid concerns, which should be adressed in an environment of healing & safety fall on deaf ears. It's disgusting. Despite many attempts by by patients (including myself) to bring this to the attention of RAs, our therapists & the Director of Operations & Compliance — we're given the runaround & justifications as to why they take no action. It's completely dismissive to those of us who truly want to be clean. During one of my first nights, a client was smoking weed that stunk up the entire Men's Lodge. Mt. Sinai's response? Having him say sorry & flush the pot down the toilet! Weeks later, he lost his belt & rummaged through clients' rooms & belongings at 3AM! Yet again, nothing was done with him. This is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of the serious problems here. Again — I've submitted reports to both the Joint Commission & Georgia DCH.

I went there a few years ago and had a great experience. It was a solid place for recovery and it helped. I recently decided to return for some of my same issues. I have to say the place is more about hearding chickens than good groups. It's a bunch of kids who think rehab should be like summer camp. The therapists spend more time on thugs beefs and gen z babies whining than talking about AA or real therapy.

Do not come here if you give a damn about your belongings. They withheld items and money from myself and many other clients and “misplaced” them and when you reach out to them you are met with no communication and stonewalling. They push you out the door and give you no time to make sure everything you came in with is accounted for.

I can’t speak highly enough about Nick and the incredible work he does.. His compassion, patience, and deep understanding of addiction recovery truly set him apart and helped my friend beyond belief.
