Nestled in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas, Palms Behavioral Health (Palms BH) offers a full continuum of care for adolescents, adults, and seniors suffering from acute behavioral and mental health conditions. Intensive Inpatient Program Palms BH’s inpatient psychiatric program is designed to effectively treat adolescents (ages 12–17), adults, and seniors with behavioral and mental health conditions, which can range from a crisis situation requiring short-term inpatient hospitalization to a longer-term structured program. Palms BH provides assessment, diagnosis, and rapid stabilization of acute psychiatric issues, with referrals to less intensive levels of follow-up care and support whenever applicable. Palms BH’s goal is to help clients improve their clinical status, regain their quality of life, and return to daily activities in their homes, workplaces, and community. Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Palms BH’s PHP is for adolescents (ages 12–17) and adults who do not require the 24-hour supervision provided by an inpatient program. This program can serve as either a step down from inpatient care, or a tool to prevent the need for an inpatient hospital stay. PHP is held 5 days a week, for several hours each day. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Designed for adults who are able to continue working and attend to their daily lives, but in need of some supportive treatment, IOP meets several times a week, for a few hours each session.
