Horrible place don’t ever expect to get better. You will get harassed by ‘counselers’ and constantly go to court and get warrants because they don’t do their jobs.

So this is how the scam works. You get hit with a low level bogus charge you get conned into taking a deal on, and in turn referred to these clowns for an "evaluation ". Of course it's rigged, and no matter what they recommend classes, which you will inevitably be found out of compliance at some point by someone, which will then tack on more classes, costing more, and keeping you here for five years until you just move away. Oh, and they'll try to mentally diagnose you with multiple choice BS sheets, over charge for unskilled counselors, and play all the games mentioned above. This should be criminal, it's very obvious the system has no true care for victims at all and it's all just an agenda. Great job, now the true victims aren't taken seriously.

I have been with STOP Tacoma for a little over a year now since getting my DUI. At first it was a hard pill to swallow, but I am so grateful for my counselor Tiffani who has given me the support and guidance I need to be successful. She has a heart of gold and always goes above and beyond. It feels good to know you have someone in your corner. This has been such a transformative journey that I never would have considered otherwise. Being sober is actually really nice! Sometimes life has it's way of showing us a different path, and I'm grateful it landed at STOP.

I’m not the one to leave reviews but Tiffany deserves it! I have had many councilors in my lifetime but not like her. Tiffany will always have a place in my heart. If you want someone real, understanding and someone you can always count on, ask for her.

I have so much gratitude for STOP in Tacoma and their substance abuse program as well as their staff; personally this has been a life-changing and life-saving experience. The staff are welcoming, compassionate, and understanding. The staff, especially Pam, are one of a kind, they love what they do and provide personalized care and support every step of the way - even if you’re stubborn like me and it takes a few attempts to grasp new concepts. Everything from the assessment, to treatment plans, programs, etc., are fantastic and tailored to individual and group needs. Really can’t thank them enough for giving me the tools and confidence to live a healthy, meaningful life. I 100% recommend STOP to anyone seeking recovery.
