Best hospis ever

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! If I could give this emergency room half a star I would. Slowest most inattentive and unprofessional staff I’ve ever encountered anywhere. Nurse was snoring

Do not go to this emergency room under any circumstances! It is not a real ER. Insurances require hospitals to have an ER to bill. They only do detox and psychiatric at this location, emergency is basically a front and they hope nobody walks in. I went in with a deep cut on my hand. They delayed my care for almost 2 hours while they “verified my insurance” this is illegal and also did not take more than 10 min. Then a doctor with shaky hands gave me bad stitches, glued over them, and a nurse wrapped gauze onto the wet glue, leaving the gauze glued to the stitches. Horrible practice. They treat people with no care at all. I left feeling so dirty.

I came to thorek because I’ve been trying to quit drinking and was told it’s dangerous without medical supervision. The evening I arrived I had to sleep in the ER because it was too late in the evening to get my own room upstairs. When I finally got to go upstairs the next day they confiscated all of my belongings including my anti depressants and my high blood pressure prescriptions and my psoriasis medication (that I need 3 times daily. I’m not allowed to shower which is the only other thing that cools the burning and itching, when I asked the nurse on duty “MARY” could I please shower (after having to request changing my bedding myself after 5 days here she no it’s too late (3:30pm) as I’ve been detoxing sweat and toxins are coming through my skin secerlyvirrritating my psoriasis ! Her response was “go ahead hate me “ this is not what health care is suppose to look like and I’m disgusted with the way she’s treated me. Cannot wait to get out and speak of my experience ! I PAID to be here !!!

It's old, small and a better more thorough experience that I have ever had in an ER. Most hospitals are just trying to get you out the door they wanted to find out what was wrong before they did that.

Hoe much does it cost? Please tell me it's 50 dollars

Confirmed an appointment with a two month wait, arrived and was told the doctor hadn't worked there for three months Rebooked me at another location where after several hours of waiting I was seen and told I would be reached out to for a followup Never got the followup Called several times, sent several emails. No response Billed six months later Given final notice immediately after No way to pay online. They request a check or walk-in Hard to do worse.

Had a severe laceration to my pinky and was able to get in to the ER Right away. Martha, Nancy and Dr. Worschel took care of everything quickly, and empathetically. A phenomenal group.
