Not a whole lot of respect honestly. The comfort meds are minimal absolutely minimal. The nurses will argue with you. Staff is friendly and assist until you get in there. They put you in scrubs. It’s like county jail. The food is always cold and no coffee. They give you grape juice and Kool-Aid like you’re a kid.

When I first got to Unhooked Recovery, I didn’t want to be there. But they give you twenty-four hours just to relax and settle in. After that, you start attending meetings throughout the day. At first, it felt like a lot, but I got used to it, and honestly, some of the BHTs were so passionate about what they do.. A few even shared their own personal stories, which made a big difference for me. Even though I got comfortable there, I’ll admit — I was a handful. I got into trouble more times than I can count and probably should have been kicked out. But the staff truly cares about the people they help. From the regular BHTs, to the lead BHTs, and the caseworkers, to even the director — they all gave me chance after chance because they could see that I wanted to be there... Some even pulled me aside to talk with me one-on-one, which really stuck with me. I originally planned to stay 30 days but ended up staying 60. Honestly, I would have stayed for 90 if I hadn’t been offered a great opportunity to move into a really good sober living that Unhooked recommended. This program had such a profound impact on my life. I’d struggled with opioid addiction for nearly 20 years, and Unhooked was the first rehab I ever went to. It completely changed everything for me. As of writing this, I’ve been sober for over 6 months now — the longest period of sobriety I’ve ever had. I’m still living at the sober living Unhooked helped me find, and i'm doing really good there. I’ve even earned my peer support certification and several others since graduating. My goal now is to work at Unhooked Recovery and give back to the place that helped me turn my life around. If you’re thinking about getting help, give Unhooked a chance. The staff here genuinely care, and if you’re willing to meet them halfway, they’ll do everything they can to help you succeed.

Jan 3rd 2023 I flew from Philadelphia to AZ and straight into Unhooked’s residential program. I graduated to the Winthrop house and eventually started working here, I’ve been employed with unhooked for 2 years now. And if it wasn’t for this place I truly don’t know where I would be in life today. Unhooked is my family and I wouldn’t want it any other way . Today I get the privilege to help individuals get there self out of that deep hole I was once in and showing them there is a way out of addiction 🍀 thank you to unhooked recovery for saving my life!!

My husband went through unhooked two and a half years ago and we're still sober I had the pleasure of working there in the kitchen I currently work at another treatment center. sobriety is what you're looking for they do an amazing job thank you unhooked

I graduated from unhooked and went on to the Winthrop house. Unhooked was my 4th treatment center and I’m thankful for my experience and all the staff that helped me along the way. As a client sitting in those chairs I would tell myself “I want to work here one day.” Here I am a year clean and get the opportunity to work for unhooked and give back freely what was given to me. I will always recommend Unhooked to anybody seeking treatment.

I was not a patient here, but have had nothing but problems with the older lady up front. She is rude and unfriendly. When I walked in she glanced up, then put her head down and would not even look at me. I was very friendly and courteous. She then proceeded to get my sons' name confused with another person with the same name, and kept insisting he was still on blackout, which I knew he wasn't. I asked her to check dates, and she refused. It was my son's birthday and we had driven 50 miles to see him. I kept insisting he was not on blackout and made regular calls home. She said "oh, they all do that, they sneak phone calls when they're not supposed to." She wouldn't budge. Who hires a very unfriendly, rude person to run a front desk in a facility that should be focused on healing and friendliness and good ol' common courtesy? This entire facility has gone downhill in the last few years, and does not hold the standard it once did. There's other issues I won't go in to, suffice it to say they need to have a deeper look at its inner workings.

My family member just left here and was starving while there, they also lost medications and was unable to continue MAT (medicated assisted treatment), started experiencing withdrawals. The staff is very confrontational and everything is run like you’re incarcerated. Very unprofessional service and lack of regard for your loved one, staff allow other clients to “bully” others to break them down if staff feels they need an attitude adjustment, this place is the ONLY option(insurance) for some people which is why they still in business I’m assuming because there is nothing recovery focused about this place. Staff stealing medications. Needs to be investigated! And they make you sign a waiver upon entry that you won’t sue them because they know as a whole they are a liability. Might as well just find an outpatient provider or meetings because as serious as sobriety/recovery is to you or your loved one THIS is not it!!!!!!I promise You!! 2 stars because my loved one did come home sober and the negative experience did help secure the desire to experience this place ever again.
