Anchor of Hope Opioid Treatment Program

Need to have details on your website of who the owner/proprietor are for issues that patients are having with staff or clients

I've been going since 2020, Staff are amazing, Sonya and Sheila are wonderful people, Dr is great and the nurses are compassionate. I've been to other clinics, and everyone I've talked to that has come from other clinics has said that this is the best around. They saved my life. Don't hesitate to come in

The staff here are truly amazing and make you feel welcomed. If you're seeking a better direction in life, I highly recommend going here. The staff aren't judgmental by any means and are always there to help you when you need it. And don't get angry or impatient neither. Because if you had time to use, you have time to wait a moment, so that they can do what they are best at. And that is helping you!

Everyone that works here really cares. I remember the first time my husband and I called AOH to find out about the program. Sonya was so nice to us. We needed that kindness in that moment. We were feeling pretty beat down and low. We called other clinics and chose this one purely because we were treated with kindness. Now over 2 years later, I can say this program saved my life. No risk of jail, no risk of infections, no risk of over doses, no getting sick because of unreliable sources.

This place was great for me, saved my life.

I came to Anchor Of Hope from another clinic where drugs were sold in the parking lot. My counselor was constantly changing and fights were always breaking out about places in line. Then I came to Anchor of Hope. It’s a relief to not see anymore fights or drug dealing. I feel respected and treated like a person and not just a number with money. My counselor is so amazing he really cares. The staff is remarkable. They all care about the patients and their well being. I’m sure glad I found this clinic. It has continued to help me be a success in my recovery. I know there may be a negative comment here and there, but that is from people who have no real recovery and have only set themselves up for failure. I continue to pray for the addict who still suffers.

Dr. Son here. I am responding to Pj Con’s review. I am sorry for your experience with the administrative taper. I understand how terrible the opioid withdrawal can be, and having patients go through it is that one thing I hate about my job. Every business runs on rules and regulation, and nothing is different in licensed opioid treatment centers. No restaurants will serve you their menu for free especially when you already picked up a lot without pay. The same applies in any medical offices. When there is a substantial high amount of unpaid balance we must unfortunately follow the strict office policy and guideline. I have worked with several methadone clinics in the past and am well aware of their protocols. Rarely other methadone clinics are as caring, understanding, forgiving, and supportive as this one. I am afraid your review is not geared toward Anchor of Hope OTP but every methadone clinic in the nation. It was not with #15 whom I discussed 5mg-a-week taper. I went back to my notes to verify that. Administrative taper works differently, and once again I am sorry you had to go through that. Also to give you a history of this office, a nurse who was in charge of the methadone management years back was compromised (she later lost her license from what I heard) and the clinic was undergoing a period of dangerous medical management. So the office manager self-reported this to force shut down. Fortunately now we have a highly responsible nursing staff and myself (at this time) doing our best to aim for safe and effective care. We truly mean well to help everyone succeed in their recovery endeavor but we expect our patients to also uphold their portion of responsibility, just as would with everywhere else.
