Daylight (Flyland) literally SAVED my life!!!! I was slowly dying and I wanted to die. I was broken with so much sadness, grief, despair, hopelessness. From the admissions process from the first phone call to Daylight to the my Amazing Case Manager Bennett!!! He’s my angel who saved my schooling and my scholarship!!!!! Yes, they allowed me to do my schooling!!!!!!!!! The nurses are the most compassionate they I have encountered!!! The chefs, no words!! Well it was excellent, the best food!!! I gained my much needed weight back after not eating for 34 days!!! I can’t say one bad thing about this place like I said it saved my life and they love me when I couldn’t live myself!! I learned so much and the way they deliver it the knowledge and the compassion and empathy is absolutely five stars. I would give it 100. I can’t think them enough.

Facility took me in after a rough patch, one of the most comfortable and accommodating Detox centers. Medical was fixated on my needs and the therapy helped me internalize a lot of core issues.

The recovery team here is compassionate, empathetic, and supportive of each individual’s journey. During a scary and difficult time, you never feel judged or like an inconvenience. The team respects your self advocacy and is dedicated to helping your healing and growth. I have met some of the most genuine people here and have learned the definition of unconditional love.

My daughter just recently left here. This program barely communicates with family members. I have left a few voicemails and received no responses when my daughter was in here. They told my daughter they were going to cover her flights and ubers before starting the program. My daughter was almost stranded. She reached out to A man name Jacob from detox and I was on the phone when she called him at the airport and it wasn’t her fault that she arrived at the airport late. She spoke to Jacob very clearly and nice. And he started talking to my daughter very rude like she doesn’t deserve respect. So I intervened. One thing about working at any job is to always be respectful. And he definitely wasn’t professional. Please don’t send your family to daylight opt in for something local or possibly a state closer!

What to say about daylight recovery. I recently graduated from the 28-day program, all of the day-to-day staff and technicians and cooks and medical providers, showed me that it was okay and that I was going to be fine. They did this by showing compassion and care and even some love. Thank you all for giving me the tools that I will need to stay sober I love you all. As far as upper management, case workers, psycotherapist? You will not find a more caring and loving group of people. They have just as much Hands-On as the everyday staff does. Always makes time for you even if there days are full. Princess kung fu, Amanda, Diane, and last but most definitely not least Ryan, I love all of you and thanks for listening to me when I needed to be listen to and thanks for everything you did. WARNING- YOU CANNOT LEAVE! They will try to keep you there the entire time. I left today, two days early, so I could spend Christmas with my family. I literally had to tell them I would call the cops for failure to give me my items back. The techs don’t care about you. Nobody gives you a straight answer. They trap you, and only allow two phone calls a week. I would rather go to a hospital, and spend four days in detoxing, than eight days in that hellhole.

Let me say this, I had no idea what to expect from going to recovery being as though it was my first time. The minute I walked through the door Nate made me feel so welcomed, the anxiety in me instantly disappeared. The staff and residents there made me feel like I could completely be myself without judgement. My 28 days here at daylight realigned me with my spirituality to say the least. It’s about more than getting sober. It’s a life changing experience. Keep in mind, there isn’t a pool, beach or gym… but if that’s the only reason why you’re considering going to recovery, you’re missing the whole point. Huge shout out to Mrs. Trina, she’s one of the primary therapist there, she completely cracked me open and helped me uncover all of my underlying issues as to why I was drinking. Big shout out to all the nurses, Duanni, Brittney NP, Shade and Brittany… Shot out to Anythony, Ryan, and Daniel who all help facilitate the core meaning of what recovery is. Shout out to the techs Alex, Shay, Elton, America, Johnathan, Nova and Lexus… they made my day go by sooo much smoother and they made me feel like family. And the kitchen staff, Momma G, Momma T and Kerry. They threw down everyday, I gained 13 pounds lol. I was able to meet some of the greatest people here that I now call family. I highly recommend this place if you’re serious about you’re sobriety and believing in a higher power.

I recently stayed at Daylight and was not sure what to expect based on location and facility size, but I was truly pleasantly surprised. The small facility provided for more intimate relationships with the therapeutic it staff, as well as better developed friendships with other clients. If you are serious about getting sober, this is a fantastic place to entrust your recovery to. Hopefully I don’t have to do this again, but I recommend this place for anyone else who needs a serious and intimate recovery program. Plus food was great!
