Intrepid Recovery

On August 29th 2023 I felt hopeless and broken from years of heavy substance abuse that I kept hidden from everyone in my life. I saw no way out so I attempted to take my own life because I thought my wife and child would be better off without me. That is where drugs finally took me. When that didn’t work I googled AA meetings and inadvertently clicked on the first link that was a hotline for substance abuse. Reluctantly I let them transfer me to intrepid. After spilling my guts and bawling my eyes out that man shared his experience of addiction to recovery and for the first time in a long time I felt a shred of hope and I made the decision to go seek help. It was terrifying but it ended up being the best decision I ever made. Going to Intrepid literally saved my life. The therapists, medical staff, case manager and the people that ran groups really care about you and your recovery. Above all however are the techs who handle everything else. For me personally they made the biggest impact. They were there for me when my father passed, they were there to listen to me in my struggles and successes, and they were living proof that people do recover. They were my angels. I strongly recommend going to intrepid if you are struggling and need help. I am still clean and sober today and my life is second to none. My wife has her husband back, my son finally has the father he deserves and I am truly happy for the first time in my life. You get back what you put into your recovery and I have worked at it non stop since leaving but none of this would have been possible if it were for the foundation that I build at intrepid.

The staff that were there when I was there was amazing. I think the therapists do an amazing job with the tasks they have. The groups also give you a lot of important information about recovery that's hard to get in other places. It's not a 5 star resort but with the staff I think it's worth it. Even after almost a year and half later and I’m still sober. Life has changed in so many positive ways and I’m loving it.

I am 14 months sober. Intrepid gave me an amazing foundation to start my journey of sobriety. The staff above and beyond amazing. One staff member who was with me through both detox/residential and PHP was Jamie. She is a truly caring and virtuous person. She is a perfect model of what recovery can be. My therapist Marissa helped me breakthrough and understand the truth behind my addiction. The group facilitators were all wonderful and necessary to better understand myself and the disease of addiction. Especially Heather, who helped me know and identify traumas in my life.

Caring and attentive care with excellent therapists. Highly recommend.

Yesssss I was very satisfied, I'm glad I got to see my sober family.. I want them to keep they heads up and keep going no matter what happens sober.😊I love them❤️ If anyone is going through mental health or anything get the help you needed and deserve!!

I seen 3 men in Costco on Lantana on 11/7 around 11 am . They had T shirts on that said Intrepid Recovery . I asked one of them if it’s an all male facility and he told me “ i don’t know you “ kept walking and i tried to say excuse me i’m inquiring for a family member. He kept walking and saying i don’t know you. Why wear a t shirt advertising a facility and have such a horrible attitude when someone inquires. why would i even consider this facility? that is really bad advertising .

I had such a great experience at intrepid and I highly recommend it to anyone considering or seeking treatment. This was my first experience in treatment and the staff was very welcoming and answered all my questions and helped me feel safe. I learned a lot about addiction and recovery and continued with their program and am still sober today. Their alumni coordinators stay in touch afterwards and the therapists and staff genuinely care for each client. It’s a small community here which is nice and it’s really a special place and I’m grateful for my time spent here.
