We had a good RN at Lidner. She left and my son was placed with Amanda Porter. She is beyond useless and everything that is wrong with medicine in this country. Appointments are rushed. Ms porter is unpleasant and brusk. She ask superficial questions and expects that she is given the correct answers, despite the person she is supposedly treating having mental challenges. Never digs deeper and is just happy to get rid of the patient as quickly as possible. Just a pull pusher with no deeper drive to help. UGH

Within one hour of leaving Mason, Ohio I received my newly prescribed medications and never felt better. Very much recommended for everyone.

The inpatient and out patient services are truly amazing and life saving. As someone who had done both and still uses the outpatient I’m beyond satisfied with how my treatment is going. Both my therapist and psychiatrist actually listen, ask clarifying questions and don’t leave me feeling unseen or invalidated. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

Incorrect diagnosis from Bryan. Gutless words the "therapist". Bryan said he provided diagnosis of bipolar because I'd previously had that diagnosis. He did not recommend a specific medication. This was not clarifying and was very, very expensive.

So bad on so many levels if you have a eating disorder do not go into inpatient treatment they treat you like a animal , I went in Telling them I had multiple human disorders, including binge eating disorder and they did not treat my bed disorder , I even had to ask them to change my discharge plan to have treatment for the binge eating, which I was never given , even when I asked for help on how to eat like a normal person ,they were confused and told me they can’t help with that. They only treat Restricting Ed’s. Because of that, I was finishing all my meals. It showed them in quotations that I was safe to leave even though telling me I need a residential help. My insurance denied them and then they immediately kicked me out after saying I needed a residential help but was randomly that day fine enough to leave,,??? Then when I was leaving they kept asking me if I was ok to leave and if I wanted to hurt myself which I did answer many times the day of discharge that I still have Idealizations. All the workers treat you differently based on how they view their work and rules so even though to them, it’s just work but to me it’s my life that they just keep telling me yes or no , It was very stressful. I do not recommend for mental health. For stabilizing you for a ed maybe?? But just go to the hospital if you need that, I hope everyone who reads this gets helps for a ed , no matter what kind your eating disorders you have, you are vaild even if the Linder center doesn’t care

Edit: it seems my issue was the result of a handful of staff members and isn't representative of the total picture. After the initial event, the problem was solved pretty quickly and I was allowed to use my chosen name every visit from then on and the relevant employees were educated on these issues. As such, I wanted to leave my original review below but changed it from 1 to 4 starts based on how impressed I was with how this was handled This place claims to be LGBTQ+ affirming but I was forced to use a visitor ID with my dead name and then had to deal with rude treatment from the charge nurse when I got to the floor and the name I gave her didn't match my visitor's pass. This was allegedly the LGBTQ+ unit and that I am obviously visibly trans. They literally have a blog post about the importance of respecting trans identity for our mental health. This seems like such a basic lack of care and respect for people in a mental healthcare setting, I can't in good conscience give them anything other than one star. I hope they rectify this egregious treatment of trans people before it kills someone

If there was an ability to give lower than a 1 star I would. Try giving them a call after hours or weekend. This place should be criminal

My son was inpatient in March and is now doing the DBT outpatient therapy and I will say that the Lindner Center has helped him change direction and they have given him so many useful tools to help him through his depression and anxiety. This is a top notch facility and I would recommend it for anyone who has a child struggling with suicidal thoughts and major depression.
