Path of Hope

I’ve been to multiple rehabs up and down the east coast over the years. POH was best by FAR!! With the comfortable homey feel, to the fun informative classes that educate in understanding my disease and gain tools to become a productive member of society! This place saved my life!!! The staff believed in me when nobody else did. ❤️

After 20 years in active addiction I attended treatment at POH. After treatment I transitioned to the halfway house for a year and today I am 7 years sober!!!! This place saved my life!!!!

Path of Hope- women's halfway house program truly changed my life. When I arrived, I was lost and unsure of myself, but the staff welcomed me with compassion and gave me the structure and support I needed to rebuild. Through their guidance and the sense of community in the house, I learned accountability, responsibility, and how to live a healthy, sober life. Because of Path of Hope, I now have stability, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. I’ll always be grateful for the hope and second chance they gave me.

I know I wouldn't be where I'm at today if it wasn't for this place. It really helped me in my recovery and taught me how to live again. I will forever be grateful. 😍😍

This place sucks. Only went there bc I had no money and only a little time but there are so many better options in the state of NC for either free or affordable rehabs. The clinicians are great however the house managers tend to have far more power with out nearly as many qualifications. They have the mean girl in highschool aesthetic. Singling out specific girls for their body type or personality and punishing them as they see fit. The main house manager is the worst. She continually mocked and imitated a disabled girl as well as punished her for not “doing things correctly” even tho the left side of her body was paralyzed. She buys food for her family with the food money for the rehab. She kicked a girl out for eating skittles in class and I mean literally put her on the streets. It was all just terrible. A never ending cycle of torture. Worst 28 days of my life. Also went to the halfway house next door and it was okay until I learned that they weren’t only charging me cash to be there but also filing my medicaide. No wonder they’re able to buy new cars every year and pay for their kids tuition out of pocket. Frauds a pretty good business I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️ also would like to say that a good 80% of the women in that house were/are not clean 🫢 yall need to do a better job fr get your heads of the check books and into your clients needs. Place should be either investigated or shut down maybe both. And no one ever speaks on it bc the NA community will shut you out as most of them have connections with these people.

POH is the shit son! I just completed 28 longgggg days of treatment there in wonderful Lexington, NC. Home of the best BBQ in state! Now, I am a different kind of of breed. I'm one of those troublesome Iraq War veterans that loved his 2 years in combat like no other. My alcolism took off after I left the Army I'm 2010. And I am a lucky one who made it back alive with just s very, very small case of undiagnosed PTSD that I prefer to not discuss unless at the VA. However, combat also made.my anxiety worse. Go ducking figure! I'm 100% service connected so I get free rehab for life all over..... but I burnt so many bridges that the VA finally said then you go do it yourself a d my hard headed ass did with ease. I might come across ass rocky or arrogant. But I'm not. Trust me, I've been in a few gunfight in Diyala Province, Baqubah, Iraq to be specific in 2007, been homeless a few times in the streets, and been hanging out with what people consider the outcasts and other stereotyped groups of people for 15 long hard years of boozing my life away for nothing.... feeling sorry for myself and having pitty parties about what coulda, woulda, shoulda type shit. Bro... let me tell you.... Give POH a try. Go tell them folks Ross sent you there and said try Tommy or Russell at the Mens house. Or Ms. Erica at tbe Woman's house. You don't want that SMOKE! 3 hots and a cot with a GREAT clinical staff and supportive interns as well... Ms. Antonia was my clinician. She was pretty cool. Thought she was always angry or would be hard on me at first. But I was wrong. Quite friendly and helpful. I had fun discussing my difficult life situations 🙃. With that I'll close my sarcastic long new review. I'll keep coming back! Lol.

I've been to the men's halfway house a couple of times. It's a great place for men to go and rebuild their lives while they recover. Great people, great staff. I would recommend to anyone who wants a new beginning.

Absolutely horrible. Would give negative stars if possible. All they care about is heads in beds. These people are not concerned with your sobriety only how many people they have there so they can get paid. This is not a rehab. It's just 28 days of house arrest. Mostly people out of jail or people trying to avoid jail/court ordered there. Beware!!
