Safe Harbor Recovery

I was at my all time low when I went in. I am a completely new person today, new outlook on life and one day when I think I'm ready I would love to help people like everyone at the harbor helped me staff and clients and gave me a new perspective on life. I recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction. Today is Wed June 25th of 2025 I put this post here a year ago and I am still sober to this day it's been 1yr 2mo 23days if that's not a testament how safe harbor worked for me I don't know what is. They have some of the best counselors trust me I been to a couple places the last few months and shared my story and I still think by far the best counselors and employees are right here. Anyone with substance abuse issues please don't wait any longer come see them. They changed my life I had 20+ yrs in my active addiction and I can honestly say this has been the best year of my life it's like having a new lease on life. It's been exactly a year and 9 months today since I wrote this and I just wanted to say I'm still doing great and loving the new me if there are any guys out here needing a good treatment center this is the place for you!!!

I am a Youngstown State graduate student currently completing my internship at Safe Harbor. I have been here for four and a half months, with eight months remaining. Before coming here, I never truly considered what it takes to run a business while also fighting for the best possible mental health outcomes for each client. During my time at Safe Harbor, I have learned how important it is to remain humble—humble within myself and humbled by the individuals who come through our doors each day carrying their own struggles. I have realized that while I may have educated words and genuine compassion to help others, I cannot do this work alone. The staff at Safe Harbor has taught me not only how a business operates, but how to do so while maintaining dignity, care, and respect for every man who walks through these doors. Recovery requires a large, dedicated, and humble team willing to learn from one another and from the clients we serve. That is exactly what exists here at this rehab. I believe in recovery and am very humbled to be here serving others alongside the very loving and talented staff.

This was the absolute best environment to sit down and get your life together. I've had a rough go at striving for a life worth living. But the counselors at safe harbor have lived that old life and are true testaments of recovery. I connected with everyone there and got something from every group. They have two amazing chefs who go above and beyond on the food served. I had the chance to really take a look at myself and what was hindering my recovery. I can no longer look up and ask " Can you hear me now" My prayers were answered. Im forever grateful for all the staff. Special shout to John, Stephanie, Josh, and Sherri. I have been to safe harbor recovery twice 1ST time didn't click but was still a great experience 2ND time it clicked a big shout out to my counselor Gabby it's a great place with great people and they welcome Suboxone therapy threw a dr in town and enough counseling for a life time I gave 5 stars but this place deserves 20 stars highly recommend by me and many others
