If I could give zero stars I would. The VA's medical system is complete crap. Their scheduling assumes all veterans are disabled or non-working adults. Only times they are willing to schedule the necessary exams are not suitable to veterans who actually have a full time profession. My experience was red tape, bureaucracy, and devising systems to prevent veterans from receiving any form of medical compensation for service connected conditions.

I can't say enough about the great care that I received at the emergency dept. The nurses and PA were absolutely amazing.

I recently had to use the ER and was admitted for a serious condition. The treatment I received from the ER department and Dr. HUNT and her team(thank you Bailey) , as well as in ICU were I spent 4 days getting treated by Dr. SPONGBERG and his team (Marina, and Lalyla, & Nick) was above and beyond my expectations. The staff was respectful and polite as well as communicative. They kept me informed of my progress as well as letting the right people outside the hospital know what was happening. My 79 year old father visited the emergency room with an infection that had spread to his lymphatic system. He was given a prescription and sent home. The next day he was found on the floor but was responsive. He was then rushed to the local hospital and later transported to Atrium Health in Winston-Salem. This was the result of a bacterial infection that should have been treated with IV, hospital admission. This is a show of neglect and incompetence.

Gabrielle Michell is my brothers clinical SW. and she is amazing. She returns calls almost immediately and always has answers to questions She is so knowledgable of the services and gets the needed care scheduled very timely. She is so reassuring. She makes my brother feel secure. My brother has dealt with other VA facilities. The VA in Salisbury is by far the best service, care and compassion he has ever received. Thank you.

I took my son there Saturday night, the PA was great, But the nurse he had was really rude and hateful acting she had no bed side manners her name was Sarah no one should be treated the way she treated my son I was so mad
