Not the best place to go for treatment. I have heard that the mh program was better, but substance abuse was a mess. I will say the rent wasn’t bad and they were willing to work with you, as not everyone coming in was in a position to afford it. Rules would constantly change on the fly and we would get penalized-simply for not knowing! On multiple occasions, techs would lie to admin to get us in trouble because they weren’t doing their job (I will say that towards the end of my stay this got better). Groups were often a joke (besides process group) and we all just kind of got away with scrolling on our phones. Food budget for substance is $25/week, and if you want (need) to supplement that with your own food, you’d better hope you have a car or someone willing to drive you or you’re SOL. I showed up high one day and no one even noticed…I had an individual session with my therapist and everything despite expressing that I was struggling a lot. Anyway…I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, most of my cohort relapsed during or soon after they left the program. No support when you’re struggling.

This place saved my life. At my lowest of lows I came here and they gave me the hope I needed to go out and live a successful life. Erin truly made my day everytime I’d see her she would always give me some kind of inspiration to keep going

My time in the PHP program at STR was truly life-changing. I came in struggling with trauma and uncertainty, and the staff created a safe, supportive space where I could begin to heal and grow. A special thank you to my case manager Katie for helping me navigate legal issues and plan my next steps when I felt overwhelmed. I’m also deeply grateful to my therapists Matt, Ashley, and Blake, as well as Lauren, the intern, who all supported me through the hardest parts of recovery. Leigh Anne, our house lead behavioral health tech, kept communication open and made sure everyone felt heard. Monique, the nurse practitioner, was incredibly compassionate and helped me take my first steps toward accepting my need to change pronouns and pursue gender-affirming care. I’m leaving this program stronger, more self-aware, and genuinely thankful for the care I received. 💙

STR has been an amazing experience that I greatly needed! The entire staff from my Therapist Matt, Case Manager Katie to every single BHT/Tech on staff were extremely kind hearted and supportive throughout my entire journey! I definitely feel like I have received the treatment and tools needed to be able to live the happy and healthy sober life that I deserve!

The environment is welcoming, and you can tell the staff genuinely care about your recovery and progress. A special thank you to my case worker, Katie, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. She was always supportive, organized, and easy to talk to. I also want to recognize the therapists, Ashley and Matt—they both brought something unique to the program and made group sessions meaningful and engaging. They created a safe space where I felt comfortable opening up and working through difficult things. The rest of the staff members were also amazing—kind, patient, and always willing to help. You’re treated like a person, not just a patient, and that made a big difference in my experience. I’m truly grateful for everything I learned at STR Behavioral Health, and I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking for real support in their recovery journey.

I cannot say enough positive things about this outpatient mental health and substance abuse program. From the very first phone call, I was treated with compassion, respect, and zero judgment. The intake process was smooth and thorough, and the staff made sure I felt heard and understood every step of the way. The therapists and counselors are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely care about their clients’ progress. They create a safe, supportive environment where it feels comfortable to open up about difficult topics. The combination of group therapy, individual counseling, and educational sessions provided practical tools I could immediately apply to my daily life. The sense of community here is powerful. Katie the case manger at STR Bucks was absolutely amazing throughout my aftercare process. She was so sweet, supportive, and incredibly helpful every step of the way. She always made me feel comfortable asking questions and never once made me feel like I was bothering her. Katie consistently checked in on me and truly showed that she cared. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to have by my side during this time. I’m so grateful for all of her support!

The staff was excellent, everyone treated me with love and kindness. Very supportive. It was a blessing!
