CYWA Samara House

They falsely advertise the services they provide due to the fact that they lost funding. They're extremely understaffed and will do more to set you back with their lack of initiative than help you move forward. Red flag. Rethink your choice and find somewhere else to go.

The staff members on the outreach shelter side are horrible! The staff members Sharon who goes by “Moo” and Maya are horrible! I had family members who left that shelter and they would talk about residents who aren’t there calling them dirty ect! It’s a shame that a place like this was made to help and they don’t help ! The staff members talk about residents to other residents! My cousin didn’t want to make this review because the staff members listed would have said something to Them! They need to be shut down permanently! It’s sad this facility is still up and Running at this point! They had mice roaches bed bugs and mold ! I’ve spoken to serval residents who were placed there who Said their stay at the shelter gave them ptsd. The staff members tried to fight residents called them dirty cat ugly ect and there was nothing done to the staff members by their boss! Please shut this place down I’m currently working on getting a report placed on this facility!

This place has zero to no care about their policies and rules they put in place they don’t care about what happens to you or how other neighbors treat you the walls are hollow and everyone has no respect for you or your privacy

Does good work helping women in the area

This is awesome CYWA provides food to the community. The people who host this vommunity event are very polite, helpful and caring.

My church helps out with the food bank one Wednesday noon a month distributing donated foods. Wegmans and other supermarkets give great food, some out of date. We bring bagged lunch of sandwich, fruit and snacks. This time we had children's socks donated by our nursery school and next month there will be coats. Bank is very popular and very well run. It is a gift to the giver to participate.

Not happy at all with the samara house, they lost some of my personal things, like my cell phone, phone cords and etc, which I gave to them when I checked in. They don't serve 3 hot meals. They don't do a lot what they claim to do over the phone when you're doing a phone interview to see if they'll accept you. If I knew all this I would've never went there.

This place. It has helped me to recognize my addiction and my addictive behaviors! The entire staff from top to bottom was very kind and caring. They work to their max capabilities to aide women and their children. They each have a lot of compassion and consideration. They don't judge. They don't care about your past only in helping you to recognize there is a future in your recovery and hope for a better life. One day at a time. You gotta put the work in. I didn't know how to trust anyone not even myself. But after graduating this program. I am in a much better mindset than I once was. And it's because this place gave me a chance
