0/10 do NOT recommend. Checked in at noon for a 2:15 pm cataract surgery. By the time I was wheeled to the OR, TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE (at 4:45 pm), the deadening drops had worn off in my eye and I was hardly given any sedation medication. I felt absolutely everything, and I remember every agonizing moment (Versed is SUPPOSED to have amnesiac properties; well maybe if you're given enough to be calm and relaxed). I literally had a panic attack in the pre-op room. I was also told by pre-op nursing I had to be NPO after midnight the night before. So by the time we got home (7:06 pm), I hadn't had anything to eat or drink for 25.5 hours. These instructions were WRONG; I know from experience those are instructions for GENERAL anesthesia, where you're knocked out. I was the exact opposite - FULLY awake, aware, and in excruciating pain. The one star is for the nursing staff and auxiliary personnel, all of whom went above and beyond in caring for me, my anxiety and my pain. This was such a petrifying experience I now have PTSD. Every time I relive it, I break out crying uncontrollably. I edited to add that there WAS a last minute change in the anesthesiologist for my case. The replacement, who I was not told the name of, must have confused normal saline for Versed. I FELT EVERY PAINFUL THING THE DR. DID. And I remember it in disgusting, vivid and horrifying detail. I'm supposed to do my right eye in two weeks. Seeing as how I can still see nothing out of my left eye (blobs of color only), I'll likely cancel to preserve the sight in at least one eye. And even if it comes back, if I have to wait another five hours for "my turn" I intend to get dressed and go home. I'm not going through THAT travesty again.

We are beyond grateful for the care and support we received at Boys Town. From the moment we arrived, the doctors, nurses, and staff treated our family with compassion, patience, and genuine kindness. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered every question, and made sure we felt informed and supported every step of the way. The medical team’s expertise and attention to detail gave us so much confidence during an incredibly stressful time. They not only provided exceptional medical care, but also cared deeply about our child and our family as a whole. We never felt rushed or dismissed—only heard and supported. Boys Town truly goes above and beyond, and we will forever be thankful for the incredible care we received. We highly recommend Boys Town to any family seeking outstanding medical care paired with heartfelt compassion.

Money hungry place just like most. Be careful taking anyone here. Just got my first full bill and they are saying we are overdue.

We have been using Boys Town for years! They are always super helpful and friendly. But our last stay they went above and beyond! They made us feel so helped!!!

Criminal! Charged $1200 for a COVID test. BCBS says it was due to the test being performed in a hospital setting. However, the test was performed at a clinic in an exam room. Elizabeth in billing says there is nothing to be done here. Avoid Boys Town.

We came at 7:32 PM, and while we were waiting, all other patients were assisted except us. By 8:32 PM, we were still waiting. I felt very hurt and discriminated against in this hospital. However, I would like to update my review and thank the team for reaching out, apologizing, and explaining the misunderstanding. They also assured me that the specific staff member involved will no longer approach us — especially my children. I truly appreciate their professionalism and effort to make things right.

I had a tonsillectomy and adenoidecomy today as a 24-year-old female, and I just have to share how incredible my experience was—especially because of one amazing nurse. Nurse Barb was, without a doubt, the best nurse I've ever had care for me. Her kindness, professionalism, and reassuring presence made all the difference during a nerve-wracking day. I felt genuinely cared for, listened to, and supported throughout the entire process. I can’t thank her enough for going above and beyond. If I could give 10 stars I would.

The staff is always extremely helpful and professional. My son is autistic and afraid to go to the doctor but they are great at helping both him and me to feel comfortable.
