Enhance Quality Of Life Through Assertive Community Treatment Penn Foundation’s Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) provides intensive, person-centered care for patients 18 and older, with serious mental illness. A mobile, multidisciplinary team of specialists in psychiatry, nursing, and social work delivers highly individualized treatment and rehabilitation in community settings. By minimizing symptoms and the need for hospitalization, the program promotes individuals to be highly functional, independent to have an enhanced quality of life.
