I got mixed feelings about this place . I re wrote this several times. Don't know what to say they care and help u and some staff members are rude biased and out of pocket . I'm a leave it at that food was good . I got spun there . I'm doing good now got 93 days clean working a program and staying vigilant one day at a time

The director of Gaudenzia West Chester House (Aaron Harris) is either delusional or just flat out ignorant to what is happening in his facility. for the last 5 months He has had his employees driving a 12 passenger Van missing a front mirror that has blind spots to begin with…( putting patients and staff in very dangerous situations) his counselors have inappropriate relationships with patients that he ignores and acts like its not happening.. (literally counselors have patients moving in there homes when discharged) if it wasn’t for the nursing staff and some specific staff the place would've been shut down a long time ago. The nurses are one of the only bright sides of West Chester house. Drug and Alcohol treatment facilities have a very difficult time finding reliable staff but what is happening at that place is dangerous for patents and staff… Someone needs to take deep dive on what ACTUALLY is happening their.

If I vould give 0 starz I would!!! This place like the others they have is horrible, the staff has picks on who they like and dislike and also are unnecessarily mean they yell at patients when they are on the phone trying to talk to family memebers, they only get 15min at that. The staff consistently lie on patients to get them kicked out I wouldn't send my dog here!!! If you have a family member that needs help don't ever send them here, they need a staff that actually care and want to help people be better not consistently try and trigger them into a relapse everyday its a damn shame how these place meant to help others harm them smh

Forget any negative reviews! This is by far THE BEST recovery center of all times! Let's start with the director... 1st off, he will insure the best after care for your well being. He is exceptionally fair. I messed up time after time and he gave me opportunity after opportunity. The rules of the program is enforced but he seen in me what I couldn't see in myself. Now the staff??? They became my family. I'm not saying any names but the RSP Supervisor cares deeply about the clients and their safety. She's like Debo who wants you to take the recovery process seriously. As far as the rest of the staff. Individually they they are not just assets to the company but essential to life. Now if I don't say anything about how good Momma Nancy feeds everyone, I would be dead wrong. When I say you get feed like Grandma back around, The food is excellent. My only complaint is that the residents messed up the coffee twice a day. Smh. Somebody broke into the coffee machine and got caught! Tip on my whole coffee operation 😁

I was there for close to 3 and a half months in 2010, Mrs. Nancy changed my life in so many ways. A strong independent woman who understood my pain had been through it herself and never judged! I think about her a lot to this day still, it's why I'm writing this now, she seen in me what everyone else has seen in me; me I still didn't see it at that point. She would play this song a lot for me to listen to it was her song to me, id cry and she say that's you you just gotta start seeing it. She even went out her way on family day to come meet my then 2 year old son and hold him saying to him, you got a strong beautiful smart mommy who lives you so much all she talks about is getting better to be the best mommy you deserve and asked him if he'd share me with her cause she loved me to and couldn't wait to see me get it that time!! She was why got through that, not disappointed her became my motivation. Mrs. Nancy you are an inspiration and almost 16 years later I still think of you and the impact you had on my life. You are a beautiful, kind, loving, and also one tough cookie who doesn't take crap from anyone at all. I hope you see this one day and pray that you remember that red haired sorta Tom boyish girl you dressed like a beautiful/hot elf at Christmas in 2009 and as baby new years afterwards because you saw a beauty in me then I couldn't see. Thank you

October 2, 2001 - March 25, 2002 was my time at Gaudenzia and although it took some getting used to, it was well worth it.RIP former Director George Davis.

I don't know why it's taken me so long to review this place but here we go. This place is a trap. They bring people in and take advantage of them. If you are there for some legal reason than they will do everything they can to keep you as long as possible. It's supposed to be a 30-90 day program but there were people there for 4 or 5 months when I was there. They all had similar stories and said if they complained than the director or the counselors would threaten to change the dates in the computer to keep them there longer. The patients are responsible for everything housekeeping except for lunch and dinner. The pots and pans, trash, prep for the meals, cleaning the entirety of the building inside and out, running the meetings, etc. They spend as little money as possible to maximize profits and it's incredibly obvious. The bedding was disgusting and I complained because my super thin comforter had a massive hole in it. They did nothing to remedy the situation. The only food we get is what they could get for free through donations and typically the staff would pick through it first and take all the good stuff and load up their cars, leaving us with half rotten fruit. It had a very survival of the fittest vibe in there, much like jail. The cook was actually pretty decent and made some decent lunches and dinners so I can't say it was all bad. If you are finding a place to check yourself into on your own free will do NOT go here. In fact, only go here if you have absolutely no other options. The way they tell people 30 days and then string them along in that hell hole using threats of forgery to ruin their life just for some extra dollars is honestly legitimately evil. I left there with no more physical habit but I may have been more depressed than before I started.

I take passengers from there as an Uber driver and I hear that it's a house of horrors. I also sensed immediately that the coordinator who arranged the ride was a mean individual. This House needs an auditing and house-CLEANING.
