I taught this place was good, but your foster parents are not good people, I have alot complaints against Abbott House

Oh man, I can’t shake off the memories of the 80s. It was such a chaotic and painful time, really dark and sexuallyabusive. Whenever you messed up, they’d just throw you into this room with a glass door. You’d be stuck there in only your underwear, which made you a target for bullies and creeps. Now, at 53, I still wake up in a cold sweat from nightmares about every unsettling corner of that place! I was eventually sent to a group home, but I couldn’t handle that either and had to leave! 😣

I was a resident there the whole 80s man everyone knew me fun times and bad ones most of the counselors raised me Al B Mr Armstrong Lou Larry Mr Manning Ms Earl man I can go on but Ms Lucille was my everything

Just beautiful & calm. I went as a new employee to take my ID & I just loved the atmosphere.

Lived in one of their group homes back in the 90’s. Group home staff was amazing to me. I still keep in touch with some of them now. They were patient with the kind of kids they had to deal with. On the other hand, I tried contacting Abbott House regarding my case or was it just thrown away. Never received a response. It was a lengthy sensitive message I prefer not to speak in detail here. Very disheartening and to this day, I still don’t know what the outcome was. Abbott I hope you read this and contact me. I hope kids that had cases like mine are living a good happy life and have closure.

Staff is very polite and understanding. Make all type of accomodations for you and your children not to say they have lost of programs to help the individual needs

They are good place. My son, who is autistic enjoys his day there.

I was placed there by the courts (1985 to 1990). It was like a jail, had many fights but it also gave kids a 2nd chance to achieve a goal if you wanted it - I took it.
