First Step Counseling and Medical

I want to give 5 stars but the price is higher than other places and they dont accept insurance. The doctors and nurses here are the best and friendliest and you can tell that they truly care about each and every patient. Again, the price is high and you can find a cheaper place, but you wont find a better support system/friends than here!

The staff is friendly, the doctors don't give you many chances they expect perfection three failed drug screens and you're out. They charge too much money up front, requiring fees upfront plus your doctor visit fee, which is very expensive, Plus they insist on weekly visits for months which of course costs more money than if you went every two weeks or every month. I believe if there were more options out there they would have enough competition to have to lower prices.

I would just like to say that I've been a lucky participant in this program for going on 6yrs. It started off as drug treatment but I am now more of a special case and as drug treatment will always be my goal I'm still in the program as well for pain management as I've got some very severe pain issues and don't want pain medications. This dr. Office has gone above and beyond in so many more ways than 1 to help me and to make sure I stay on the right path of staying clean and living as normal of a life as I can with my pain issues!! I cannot begin to express my gratitude and how much love I have for this place!! They deserve 7-10 stars 🌟 with the effort and push they instill into you!! I owe this place my life because without their help I would have absolutely overdosed and died!! They are my saving grace. If you're struggling with addiction PLEASE give them a try!! I promise you will not be disappointed.. They are the best group of receptionists *yes I'm talking about you kiari!!* lol nurses, doctor and the other staff that make this the best treatment facility in the northeast TN. Area.. Once you try them I promise you won't leave!! Thank you to first step counseling for not only saving my life but being my biggest cheerleaders when I feel like Noone else is in my corner!!

Great place with Doctors that care, that take the time to get to know you and listen

Best place in Tennessee for treatment, I've been going here for a few years and it's like family. They are sweet kind and caring. Great doctors an the best lady at the front. I'd be lost without them. They have been there for me through everything. While I lost my father they helped me through all that pain An through so much more. I'm so blessed to be able to be a patient here. Thank you guys for being like family to me and my mom.

I really wish someone would explain how this is no different than visiting your local drug dealer? A place that does not except insurance, makes you pay $125.00 a week to be handed a prescription.... Legal dope selling!

I have went through many different programs and I even graduated from a couple. But this place is so much different than 99% of the other places. These people care about the person that you are and the person that you will become. They have helped me through so many different obstacles in the past couple of years they probably don't even know how much they truly help us. THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH THE BATTLE OF ADDICTION! THEY ARE THERE FOR YOU 100%

I am very BLESSED my dr has been an amazing caring helpful understanding dr. He n the staff there are very kind and even the cost is hi its worth it bc they actually care amd want to help PEOPLE like me is ive been going now for two years and its just been a blessing and i thank everyone that works there and thank u to my Dr K. God bless amd thank you to EVERYONE.
