Youth Services System, Inc. (YSS) is a nonprofit organization that supports children, teens, and young adults up to age 24 who face challenges like addiction, abuse, trauma, and mental health struggles. Since 1974, YSS has offered emergency shelters, recovery housing, therapy, supervised visitation, and transitional living programs. Each service is designed to help youth and families build a safe, stable foundation and move forward with hope. Heal with Proven Tools and Real Hope The center uses evidence-based therapies such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, and functional family therapy. Therapy is available at home, in school, and in outpatient settings. Peer recovery specialists offer support based on their own lived experiences. YSS also provides parenting programs and life skills training to help families heal and grow together, focusing on long-term success and emotional well-being. Thrive in a Space That Cares Teens and young adults live in home-like settings that promote safety, comfort, and healing. Gender-specific recovery homes offer shared spaces and daily routines in a sober, supportive environment. The Transitional Living Program includes supervised housing with education, job support, transportation, and skill-building activities. With caring staff, structured programs, and strong community support, YSS gives youth a place to belong and the tools to thrive.

Recovery Care Offered

Residential

Residential programs for substance use and mental health with structured care and 24/7 monitoring. Treatment takes place on-site, with behavioral health professionals often providing care in group, individual, and family settings.

Sober Living

Transitional housing designed to support individuals recovering from substance use disorders offering a safe, supportive and structured environment for practicing long-term sobriety, while reintegrating back into daily living.

Recovery Coaching

Recovery coaching is a type of support service designed to help individuals maintain their recovery goals, provide guidance and support, and connect them with resources and community-based services.

Intensive Outpatient Program

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) falls between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, with therapy and skills-building activities designed to support recovery and provide flexibility. IOP is ideal for those needing support but not the 24/7 care of a residential facility.

Outpatient

Outpatient treatment offers flexible therapeutic and medical care without the need to stay overnight in a hospital or inpatient facility. Outpatient care typically offers a range of therapies and medical interventions individuals can attend alongside daily life.

Licensed Primary Mental Health

Some primary care providers offer mental health diagnosis and treatment. This can prevent patients from developing more serious conditions.

Co-Occurring Disorders

Substance use and mental health can occur simultaneously as co-occurring disorders. Treatment for co-occurring disorders involves therapy and other personalized interventions to address both conditions.
