The Blake House

Blake house sent a van liad and 2 box trucks to pick up belongings at our mother's house. These young men were the kindest, most polite and respectful. I highly recommend if you are in need to make donations, this organization is 1st class. So glad we chose them!

Did me justice I found God there

I have been serving in recovery work for 22 years. The Blake House is at the top of my list of where I send people. If you were looking for true life, change as you battle addiction and a broken life, without question you need to go here. Their staff their facility, and the program structure is the best in the business.

I feel it on my heart to share about the 15 months of my life that i spent at this place. If you are at the end of the road in your addiction and the chaos and madness in your head is overwhelming and you need a safe place to get yourself together both spiritually and physically then this is a safe place. If you are looking at prison then this a way better option. I tell my recovery story every chance I get and I will always talk about my time spent here. I was able to get healing from childhood traumas and traumas that I caused others while in my addiction. I left this place with a firm spiritual foundation and I still apply some things i picked up at The Blake House in my everyday life today and it has been 4 years since I left. With that being said The Blake House did not teach me how to live in society and deal with life situations sober. I was institutionalized when I came to The Blake House from years I spent in prison for things I did while under the influence of drugs and I left The Blake House still institutionalized. There is no transition setup even though I was told during my intake that it would be available. Once you decide to leave the property then you are on your own. There is no aftercare setup. I spent 15 months of my life there getting hugs and told I was loved and once I made the decision to leave nobody reached out to check on me. I did graduate the program. Once I left I quickly relapsed during covid and once things started opening back up i found a sober living and i started attending 12 step meetings and it was at sober living I was able to learn how to live in society without using drugs and alcohol. I was able to work and actually see my money instead of working hard for free like you do in prison or places like The Blake House. But like I said above it was the firm spiritual foundation and spiritual tools that i picked up from The Blake House that has helped me mentally and spiritually when life gets kind of icky for me today. I now have 3 years of sobriety and it has been over 6 years since I was released from prison. Life is a journey and while there are many things that can be improved about The Blake House one thing I know for certain is that God's hand is on this place

Men from The Blake House cleaned out my parents' house after their estate sale, and the items will be sold in TBH thrift store. I can't praise the men highly enough for their professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and thoroughness. My contact, Jacob, was very communicative and sensitive to what an emotional situation it was for me. Thank you so much, guys. Great organization!

Our experience of the Blake House has been extremely positive. One resident said, "God is truly here". They treat people like men, and reward and buffer those who are serious about recovery. The community is challenging, supportive and close.

I have watched the Blake House help transform many lives and families for several years. Grateful to have my brother back and cannot wait to see what God has in store for him through this program as he continues to serve men in need.

Went to this program after having been to several programs before and honestly the Blake house is the worst place I’ve ever been it’s a straight work camp with the bare minimum of Time put into any type of recovery and dealing with trauma and tribulations. Everything is work work that they get paid for. All good is expired and donated. Anything brought by family the staff gets first picks and takes what they want. More than half the people are court ordered and it’s either this place the Blake house or jail and they feed off that. And the staff who live rent free eat free and have the men in the program cook clean do there laundry have them do anything and everything they want them to and sets the worst example for life after recovery. And the owner definitely using money for own luxuries and puts nothing back into the men or programs. Worst rehabilitation program out and shouldn’t be allowed to even operate. Straight work camp and money grab. Don’t send your loved ones there unless there no other option than prison.
