Located in a mixed commercial and residential neighborhood on the south side of Charlotte, The Blanchard Institute serves clients with substance use and mental health care. They are accredited by both the Joint Commission and CARF. Multiple Levels of Support Their substance use program serves clients with their day treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), standard outpatient, and recovery management program options, meeting 1 to 5 days a week with the number of sessions that works for each client’s stage of recovery. The recovery management program is like an outpatient or aftercare program that helps clients continue on their recovery journey for up to a year. Their mental health program has day and IOP treatment with sessions 3 to 5 days a week. Sessions include evidence-based therapies, expressive arts, and somatic experiences. In addition to sessions, Blanchard uses medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to reduce cravings for alcohol or opioids and medication management to help clients with their mental health. Support with Family, Court, and Medical Needs Noteworthy services at The Blanchard Institute include family workshops and support groups to help families reconnect with clients in a healthy manner, support for in-state and out-of-state clients to complete DWI requirements, and medical assessments to understand the client’s overall health.
