Not sure if I left a review before or not, but this place is heaven. Helped me so much when I was going through my first ever psychosis crisis. The staff is patient and knowledgeable. The therapy/classes were so helpful, I use what I learned there daily. The food was great, rooms were comfortable. They are very encouraging to do everything to help you get back to a good place mentally. I’m still healing and in a much better place now in my life, but sometimes I still think about it and miss it lol. I can’t thank them enough for taking me in. I owe them the world!

Hi, I am a long term client here as I have attended not once but twice here… with the intention of completing this time around. I was kicked out due to another client’s actions, choices, and decisions simply based off the fact… that I did not tell staff as early as they considered that I should. I got word… that this girl who made the decisions she did actually did not get kicked out, however… I did. That is not fair and not okay. I will say some of the staff and therapists and so on at this facility are there for a reason and truly do care. but the team of clinical directors are power hungry, and unreasonable as they come. If I simply did not tell you early enough.. Yet I was still sober then you were wrong for kicking me out and not the individual who actually did get high. I know that. And you do too. I will never see this place the same way again. And you lost full credibility to me and anyone I know.

The care here is so personal — you can tell they truly care about each person’s journey. They offer so many holistic therapies that make a real difference, and the communication has been amazing the whole way through. The family program has helped so much.

The care at Southern Live Oak Wellness is personal and genuine — they truly see each individual and meet them where they are. The holistic therapies and supportive team have made such a difference, and it’s been amazing to see the positive changes. Learning more about the diagnosis, treatment, and what to expect has been eye-opening and incredibly helpful.

The only thing I liked was the dynamic for the different types of therapy my daughter received. I voiced concerned during both stages of my daughter’s treatment regarding her being over medicated. Once she returned home she was vacant, just a shell. She had an appointment with her psychiatrist a week after she left SLOW and was slowly removed from the meds SLOW placed her on. What makes matters worse is supposedly they were doing routine blood work. Upon having blood done immediately after she left her white cell count was through the roof which was very alarming which was due to a certain medication she was aligned to at SLOW. Of course you do not know how something will be until you give it a chance but I personally would not recommend SLOW and if I had to do it all over again I would have had her go somewhere else.

The care provided just amazing would not recommend anywhere but southern live oak.

This facility Southern Live Oak Wellness conspired with my daughter’s father to restrict her from calling me without her consent or my knowledge. All in efforts to keep her in their facility. My daughter expressed her desire to leave every other day. They with her father bullied her into staying and on and off she was there over two months. Then was sent out of state fro PHP. They falsified call logs that state she called me several times and what our our conversations were about. Then the director and family rep lied on my daughter and said that she told them she called me. They knew she was restricted and couldn’t call me.
