Great place to receive psychoanalytic psychotherapy from candidates in psychoanalytic training carefully supported by deeply knowledgeable supervisors. And the treatment received is very cost-efficient. Suitable for all even those economically strained.

I went there 25 years ago and was assigned a wonderful therapist. I was in psychoanalysis for four years and it absolutely turned my life around. Maybe I was fortunate that my therapist was amazing because some of the horror stories I’m reading on here are very disturbing and not my experience at all. Psychoanalysis really helped me. Powerhouse of interpersonal psychoanalysis. It’s all about relationships. Great opportunity to undergo analysis (multiple times a week) for very low fee. It’s a training institute so you don’t have much choice in terms of the therapist assigned to you but my experience has been really good.

I was referred to a psychotherapist by the referral services at White, many years ago. I am a social worker, and was referred to a therapist who had so many of his own issues he was ineffective. He was inappropriate, revealing personal information about his own abandonment issues at an early age. He was my therapist, I wasn't his therapist. He agreed to a set fee through the referral services, but attempted to raise them soon after therapy commenced. His feelings toward me were inappropriate. He was afraid I would leave him. The country has been stunned by Newtown, my relationship with White was in the early 90's. When I discussed leaving him, he made vague threats toward my children. Legal options were limited at that time. His abandonment issues ruled his life. Why had White or his training therapist not aware of his issues? My suggestion stay away from White, this therapist is still a member of their therapy team.
