This hospital is horrible. I was inpatient because I decided to permanently stop drinking. Not only was I repeatedly denied a toothbrush and any self care for 24 hours not because of doctors order, when they were in arms reach. I was screamed at by a nurse, because I asked very calmly to not take meds at 6 pm because they would make me go to sleep too early. I was subjected by the older nurses playing vile lyrics of rap music inappropriately everyday. The food was never matching to the tickets on our trays, and food would be so unhealthy that literally had no fiber, fruit or green vegetables, allergies were repeatedly ignored daily on other patients that had it in their charts, and 1/4 of the time it had plastic in it, uncooked, chunks of gristle. we were told we had to be in one room all day or we would be forced to stay longer. People who had anxiety were forced to be in the room with patients who screamed and threatened violence or threw things, and the only response I heard was, well don't engage with them. I was denied hardback books from my spouse only to find that wasn't true. It took patients a ridiculous amount of time for them to send up clothes from downstairs. Some had been there a week. I was completely strip searched, why, some weren't and no consistency. If you met me you'd be shocked. People deficated or urinated on themselves were allowed to stay in the room and sit on the furniture and were isolated to. One of the nurses even told us she could do whatever she wanted because they'd never fire her. Please note that there is no real therapy given there only coloring and childish games. If you want your family member to get help and not be scarred for life avoid this place like the plague.Also you will not be able to physically checked on your loved one, my guess is because the don't want you to see what's happening there.

This is the absolute worst place for people with metal illnesses! DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE! THEY WILL NOT INCLUDE YOU IN THERE TREATMENT PLAN. YOU CAN'T GET ANYONE ON THE PHONE. ITS BEEN A TOTAL NIGHTMARE.

This is the worst most worthless place in the whole U.S. my wife went in having a manic bipolar episode and she didn't get any sleep the whole 9 days she was there . I don't believe they did any therapy with her and she came out acting worse than when she went in. I was under the assumption that patients came out better when they came out not worse. I thought they had discharge plans before exit and that the patient had awareness of their condition and was under the understanding that they needed their meds and wouldn't deny taking their medicine.

My review is from my experience in 2017. I felt it necessary to post because it seems like this hospital has gotten even worse, and I want people to know what their family and friends are going through here. I was freshly 18, stuck in the general psych ward where people were talking to themselves and getting strapped to their beds all night. They have a separate unit for mood disorders. I was in there for depression, not even an attempt, so I waited for them to transfer me down. In the meantime, they had me showering in the geriatric ward where the elderly ladies would watch me shower myself through the space between the curtain and the shower wall. I spent a week in general psych watching other people come in and be transferred down to the mood disorder unit. I finally told them I wanted to leave AMA and they told me I wasn’t allowed to, because I was in psychosis. I was not in psychosis. I had even self-referred myself to be there. I told the nurses I wanted to speak to the doctor about it, but they said the doctor had “already decided”. During the weekend, I was chased into my room by a man who was a registered S-offender, one of the nurses had told me he was. The music therapist at the time went running after me and asked me why I was in there, to which I replied “because I have depression and my thoughts were starting to scare me”. She left the room for mere minutes and I suddenly had two nurses come in to tell me I was moving down to the mood disorders unit. Finally! As it was a Saturday, I had to wait for the doctor to come in on Monday to talk to me. I was released the same day within hours of talking to the doctor, who determined that I definitely was not in psychosis and was allowed to leave. This place kidnapped me for a week and a half. I put in a formal complaint before I left, but would never hear anything from them. I called my insurance company and told them what happened, I never even got a bill for services. I could have sued this hospital, but I was young and unaware. I’m almost 27 years old and this is the last psychiatric hospital I’ve ever been to, despite going through some very rough times in my life where it would’ve probably been helpful to have medication management. I learned that it’s easier to push through than to have to recover from the trauma that places like this can cause. I’ve healed from my depression, but thinking about this experience fills me with anxiety to this day. I wish this place had been shut down by now, because it seems like they’re still just treating people the same way.

The nurses and techs are the best thank you for your help

Worse facility ever my daughter was placed there for help and ended up getting ganged by 4 girls I can't get no paper work or anything from the facility not even a school excuse from her being out of school if you care about your love ones. This is not the place to send them please do not send them there now my daughter is in worse shape mentally.
