I came to The Wave at Edgewater during one of the hardest chapters of my life, I didn’t have the strength to keep going. From the very first call with the admissions team, I felt a spark of hope. They spoke to me with such warmth, understanding, and reassurance that I found the courage to take this step. They didn’t just help me through the logistics—they assured me that things could and would get better. The compassion, care, and dedication of the staff made me feel safe, understood, and truly seen. They put their whole heart into supporting you, encouraging you, and helping you see your own strength. I especially want to express my deep gratitude to my personal therapist, Leah. Her insight, patience, and unwavering belief in me have been life-changing. The other therapists, Gwendolyn and Tara, as well as the holistic practitioner, Raisa are equally amazing—each bringing their own unique expertise, compassion, and dedication to every class. Yoga with Nouel is incredibly healing. The dietician Jill is informative and supportive. I really appreciated and valued the combination of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and holistic practices. The blend creates a healing environment that addresses both the mind and the heart. Group therapy has been incredibly validating and being surrounded by women who get it is healing in and of itself. Shout out to Kelly, your peer support has been so very encouraging and empowering. I can say without hesitation that The Wave at Edgewater is saving my life. They have given me tools, hope, and a renewed belief in myself when I thought I had none left. I will be forever grateful for the support I’ve found here.

I was nervous going into inpatient care,as I have never been in one before but Debbie on the phone was like speaking with your best friend and helped answer all of my questions about coming to The Wave at Edgewater. Choosing this facility was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From day one, the staff made me feel safe, heard, and supported. Kelly, Lauren, Nancy,Laura and Linda are the nicest, most down to earth and caring support staff you’ll ever meet. They understand mental health on a deep, clinical and human level—nothing felt generic or rushed. They take their time with you and sincerely care. The therapy programs are exceptional. Every session was led by experienced therapists who created a safe, structured space to work through some of the most difficult moments of my life. I appreciated how the team blended evidence-based approaches like DBT, CBT, Holistic Health and mindfulness with a truly compassionate approach. They didn’t just treat symptoms—they helped me understand the root of my pain was and how to move forward. The inpatient environment was calm, tidy, and therapeutic. There was structure, but also flexibility to reflect, rest, and build coping skills at my own pace. Group therapy was incredibly validating, and you learned that your not alone. Having peers beside you when you open up is the best feeling. My one-on-one sessions with Leah helped me in more ways than I could have ever thought. She pushed me just enough while respecting my limits. She’s hands down the best therapist I have ever seen. This place also gave me tools I didn’t know I needed and reminded me I’m not broken—I’m healing. If you know of or if someone you love is struggling with mental health I highly recommend The Wave at Edgewater.They saved my life, and I’ll always be grateful.

This place has saved my life. The staff here really go above and beyond. They truly do care about the clients. The therapists are some of the best I've ever seen and are so compassionate and caring. Shout out to Tera, Leah, Gwendolyn and Jenna!!!! I love you all and thank you so much for playing such a significant role in my journey. Also, Kristin and Debbie in admissions will work with you and have been extremely patient with my stubbornness and procrastination before I made it in. If you are struggling with your mental health, this is definitely the place to go. Plus the view across the street is so serene and calming!

From day one, I felt genuinely cared for. Not just as a patient, but as a whole person. Gwendolyn and Kelly are truly amazing human beings. But all of the therapists are spectacular! Their compassion, strength, and kindness radiate in everything they do. They treat you with dignity, listen with empathy, and never make you feel like just another number. The entire staff deserves so much credit. Every single person is deeply committed to the healing and success of each individual who walks through the door. It’s clear that they care about your growth, your story, and your future. The staff here shows up every day with love and professionalism. Being in my last week of the residential program, I thought it a good time to leave a review. The Wave is phenomenal, the staff/techs go out of their way to interact and help patients. It is an all women, mental health only ( not recovery) and is a wonderful program between IFS, CBT, Art therapy, holistic medicine (TCM) yoga, breath work etc your day is full of programming. The facility itself is a dated but it is clean and they are willing to address immediately any problems you may have. Special kudos to Lauren, Kelly and Ani who all have been amazing to me during my stay. I’ve made huge progress and met some amazing women in the way. If you’re on the fence, come on in, you’ll be glad you did. It is not club med but it’s a place of health and healing. Thank you The Wave :)
