Eckerd Connects’ E-Nini-Hassee provides residential outdoor therapeutic programs tailored for girls between the ages of 12 and 18. The program empowers girls facing emotional and behavioral issues, low self-esteem, depression, substance use, family conflict, and school problems by providing accredited education, family services, and individualized treatment in a safe and nurturing environment. Building Inner Strength & Skills for Life The program integrates a strength-based approach focused on increasing self-awareness and teaching effective problem-solving, coping, communication, and social skills. The program uses various therapeutic approaches, including reality therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and group therapy, which is a core part of the program. Nature’s Embrace: Outdoor Living & Comfort Located in Floral City, Florida, the 860-acre campus features open-air cabins housing groups of around 10 girls and 2 counselors. Girls sleep in tents of 3-4, with counselors in a separate tent close by. Amenities include a dining hall, offices, classrooms, fields, play equipment, a pool, a garden, and two lakes. Outdoor activities such as a ropes course, therapeutic river and backpacking trips, and tent building are offered. Additionally, certifications and programs are available, and are divided into modules every 6 to 8 weeks.
