Health Care Resource Centers (HCRC), formerly Community Substance Abuse Centers, specializes in treating substance use disorders and offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using methadone and buprenorphine to treat opioid addictions. They offer a welcoming and non-judgmental environment with tailored services for each individual’s unique needs. HCRC New Bedford also offers: Individual and group counseling Case management services Medical assessments and testing Coordinated pregnancy treatment Addiction and relapse prevention education Referrals to community resources Discharge planning and support Guest medication services Their treatment center hours are Mon – Fri 5am – 3pm and their medication hours are Mon – Fri 5:30am – 12:30pm with 5-5:30am availability for approved workers and Sat 6am – 11am. Individuals may get to the clinic via PT-1 depending on insurance eligibility and can also take the SRTA bus to the North Front Street and Kilburn Street stop.
