I took a friend here for detox and the staff was wonderful. Cat at the front desk is such an amazing, welcoming soul. She made my friend feel so uncomfortable with no judgement. They made this process so easy.

My son was there for 4 days said it was dark depressing and they gave you noodles bread and cookie everyday! This place should be turned in! As I am the one to turn them in and it’s sickening they’re government funded and how money is all they care about and that’s how the system treats people!!!! My son came home weak and BP so low from no protein that it was scary! Thank god I know enough to get him back to health and hopefully not have to take him to ER! Please never put a sole in this place it’s a disgusting and horrifying place to leave anyone!!! 0 stars to this place!

Unfortunately Summit this is the lone place unless you have good insurance. Your forced to listen to leads, attend meetings and groups. The detox model at this place is wrong as can be. Unfortunately whoever set it up didn't no what there doing. A detox is supposed to be a place of rest to get over the toxins leaving your body. Not attend mandatory groups. It will drive someone away fast. I truly hope they hire a coordinator who knows what there doing because there potentially driving people away which can lead to deaths. I don't no were they got the idea to do that but it's not a good idea until a person is stable from detox. Not day one.

This place is hard to detox at, no matter how sick you are they force you to go to meetings and groups, if you refuse to go they kick you out. I was extremely sick there and the Doctor became very frustrated with me demanding to know why I was moaning, REALLY? I was in 72 hours of Heroin withdrawal. Some of the staff are very nice and helpful and others are downright mean and they act like they could care less if your sick or not. Food is absolutely disgusting, it’s the same food that’s served in the Summit County Jail, if your up to eating anything. We really don’t have a lot of detox options, here or Saint Thomas Hospital so we don’t have a choice, just a heads up on a few of the issues here, know what to expect.
