Kairos Community Trust Bethwin Road is a post-detox residential treatment programme for adults who are struggling with drug or alcohol addiction and homelessness. They provide a therapeutic community and 12-step approach in a structured inpatient setting, and also offer resettlement accommodation or transitional living for clients who have completed a residential stay. Patients at Kairos are provided with personalised treatment plans uniquely tailored to their individual needs. Their therapeutic community approach to addiction treatment involves participation in group-based therapies in addition to 1-on-1 counselling sessions and other therapeutic activities. Clients participate in art therapy, daily groups and workshops, relapse prevention classes, health education, life skills training, and various leisure activities. In addition to a therapeutic community, clients are able to participate in the 12-step support meetings and incorporate the 12-step principles of recovery into their treatment. Family visits are encouraged, with family therapy available with professional counsellors. Holistic treatment such as acupuncture, massage, and meditation classes are also available. Kairos has a specialized programme offering supported housing for prior residential patients who need a structured and sober environment to live in while reintegrating into society. They work specifically with individuals struggling with addiction and homelessness, providing a safe place to call home while receiving treatment and steadily re-entering the community. Through their aftercare programme, clients can attend 3 weekly 12-step fellowship meetings. In addition, clients can also participate in weekly 1-on-1 and group therapies, workshops, health education, and community referrals for ongoing care.
