Kenward Trust Lodge is a residential treatment programme for adults with drug or alcohol addiction, as well as those who are also homeless or at risk of homelessness. They provide a therapeutic community and 12-step approach in a structured inpatient setting, and also offer resettlement accommodation or transitional living for clients who have completed a residential stay. Patients at Kenward Trust are provided with personalised treatment plans uniquely tailored to their individual needs. The facility is located on several acres of land, offering beautiful and scenic views, walking trails, gardens, outdoor lounges, and animals. There are private or shared rooms with en suite bathrooms, and chef-prepared meals provided. Their therapeutic community approach to addiction treatment involves participation in group-based therapies in addition to 1-on-1 counselling sessions and other therapeutic activities. Clients participate in art therapy, reiki, attend weekly fitness sessions, and a therapeutic gardening workshop as part of their treatment. Kenward Trust also offers animal therapy, which involves caring for alpacas that live on sight as a therapeutic activity. In addition to a therapeutic community, clients are able to participate in the 12-step support meetings and incorporate the 12-step principles of recovery into their treatment. Kenwood Trust offers a specialized programme with resettlement accommodation for prior residential patients who need a structured and sober environment to live in while reintegrating into society. They work specifically with individuals struggling with addiction and homelessness, providing a safe place to call home while receiving treatment and steadily re-entering the community. Their treatment programmes are based on the Recovery Model, designed to give clients power and control over their addictions while they are supported through transforming their lives in sobriety.
