Had to go here in May 2016. Overall experience wasnt great. I specifically told the doctor not to give me Paxil because it made me sick to my stomach. Made me take it 2 days anyway. Marijuana, which is medically legal now, was found in my system upon admission so some psychotic nurse made me go to some in house NA meeting because she once saw some kids in the er "so high they couldnt speak sentences" I go and the guy leading the NA meeting told me my cats are the cause of all my problems and I should get rid of them. I remembered this recently purchasing my 4 digit $$$ silver bengal.

I appreciate Brooke Glen being a reliable, trusted resource for the Greater Philadelphia area with caring doctors, clinicians, and staff who make the experience of being hospitalized as comfortable as possible. I have had several outstanding experiences here, and refer individuals and families on a regular basis because of the consistent quality of services.

My son was here for about two weeks, he said it felt like jail the staff does nothing down to the security guards who were sleeping on the job. The communication sucks really bad, on the website it says that they welcome the family to be involved but when you call nobody ever calls you back and you can never speak with anyone, I had to find out information from my son who at times was confused and really couldn’t tell me much, they gave my son medication against his will and also mine as we asked the doctor to not put him on any medication that’s not what kind of treatment we wanted for him and when we went to try and speak back to the doctor we could never get through to him they kept telling me that a social worker would call me but they never did until a few days before his discharge. This was not the type of treatment or help I had expected especially with this being our first time experiencing something like this I was expecting a little more communication as myself and my family are new to this whole situation. Overall I would not recommend this place at all. The only good thing I got from my son being here was the food and that he was able to call home as much as he wanted.

This place lacks communication, it's so hard getting in contact with the care team.

This place is crooked. I have never been diagnosed with any mental illness in my life. My ex spouse (who is diagnosed with severe mental illness and personality disorders). Wrote a phony letter and had me admitted. And faked domestic abuse. For people who actually experience that abuse, my heart goes out to you. But my ex spouse used that to cover up her loss of interest in our family. The doctor meet me once, no testing performed. Cursed at me and threatened me with violence because of the phoney lies the ex made up. And stuck me on a dangerous medication while there. Other people threatened my life and others. Was told 72hrs, which turned to 15 days. Never contacted my family and left them and myself horrified. And demanded $23,000 for the 15 days. The state needs to do a serious investigation into this place and their staff. It's a real life, "One flew over the cuckoo's nest.". The patients would become extremely physically emotionally destructive. But the staff would look themselves behind locked doors. Leave access to pens, pencils, scissors at their desk and allow these violent drug addicts access to them. I couldn't sleep out of fear for my life. So they forced dangerous drugs onto me, to force sleep. I had psych evals performed with real doctors since and surprise-surprise. No mental issues. Try contacting multiple state officials with this info and again. Surprise -surprise, no response. The mob never ended. They just pretend to be state officials and the crooks who run and work for this facility. Rating (-5) stars
